2/5 Unfortunately, our experience did not align with the price point at all. There are several problems with the property but the glaring one was the cleanliness. Within minutes of our arrival I had been greeted with spider webs in my face (right in the entryway to the closet), and stepped on a used band-aid! Beyond that there were several inconveniences that just added up to a disappointing stay. They include:
- No bedside electrical outlets
- Shower with insane water pressure (also good luck having a hot shower that lasts longer than 5 minutes)
- No fan in the bathroom
- No bin for recycling, only the can outside
- Outer fence that has trouble locking from the outside (either needs to be fixed or further instructions are needed)
- Very creaky but decently comfortable bed
All in all what you’re paying for is the view, which we didn’t get to enjoy since it rained all but one day we were there. After going through past reviews, I can assure you that the dock is still inaccessible, the screens surrounding the covered patio are torn and fading away, and there’s an old tire still sitting at the edge of the lake (not sure what that’s about). The nightly rate plus the laughably high cleaning fee for what you end up with is a joke. Save your money.
