We went for a girl's trip and the house fit perfectly for all of us.
We stayed at the house when we visited Yosemite National Park. We had four kids with us and they enjoyed the game area upstairs, the space outside to run around in the mornings and loved looking at the windows to search for deer or bears. The house had plenty of room, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked for the eight of us for cooking dinner and breakfast. We enjoyed our stay here and would consider staying again when we visit Yosemite.

This property is kept extremely well, very clean with everything possibly needed for a relaxing vacation. We enjoyed the history of the property, having once been a stagecoach stop and the renovations and modern conveniences. Plenty of room for us and our four kids. Good location for beauiful drives to and hikes in Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. The price of groceries in the area was also much more reasonable compared to much of California. Visiting nearby historic truckee was also interesting.

This property is gorgeous, very clean, has lots of things we think should be fairly standard in a rental, and as a bonus, has so much history around it.We were able to easily find the coffee pot and a coffee grinder. The refrigerator is nice and big. The pantry has a few staples like salt & pepper, sugar, baking soda, cooking oil, etc. There's every pot, pan, dish, and glass you could need for a party of 8. We rented it for that many but were only a party of 4 in the end. It's definitely hot in Mariposa so dress accordingly. The property is perfect for going on a hike or sitting on the deck watching the sunset. Watch out for stickers on your clothes. One of my sons went on a very short hike and came back with his jeans and shoes covered in them. The only problem we had was the internet. I made sure when researching where to stay, that it was a place that mentioned internet access. It said High speed WiFi. And indeed it was high speed... when it worked. The four of us were constantly connected/disconnected every couple of minutes. Sadly, the only consistent thing about the internet was the inconsistency. If you require internet, you might want to make sure that's fixed if you want to stay here. If you're coming to relax and get away from technology, this is a great place to stay. It was a great stay overall and we're happy we picked this area for our summer vacation.

"Thank you, Rose. Immediately after your stay, we replaced the existing WiFi system with a new state-of-the-art wireless mesh system. We have fully tested the system (by working from home for several days) and it is working perfectly.
We're sorry that you experienced this, we've had a few minor, normal issues prior to this but electronic systems can fail quickly. When we reviewed the life of the system, it was time for an upgrade. Subsequent guests have not reported any issues and we believe the new system is working very well.
As for the stickers, yes, those are a fact of mountain life. What we don't have is poison oak since we take great care to eradicate it from the property as much as possible."
