  We planned all our family to Celebrity husbands 70th birthday. When we arrived the house smelled musty.

  We were also disappointed that it wasn’t very clean. We went to put our food in refrigerator, and come to find out the freezer wasn’t working now all the food we purchased would spoil. We tried to put the air on since it was 95 degrees in Malibu. It wasn’t working. We did not get what we paid for

  -The home was thoroughly cleaned by the housekeeping team prior to your arrival, and we're sorry if it didn't meet your expectations.
  -The freezer malfunctioned due to the extreme heat, but a brand-new freezer was delivered the same day along with a cooler full of ice to help preserve your food.
  -The A/C was also affected by the heat wave but was repaired by noon the next day, which was the soonest available service.
  
  We understand the heat wave impacted your stay, and we truly appreciate your patience during those circumstances. Thank you for sharing your experience, and we hope to have the chance to provide you with a more comfortable stay in the future.

  This is our family's second time staying at this particular beach house. The location is simply the best! The new concrete steps down to the ocean were a nice surprise. They made it way easier and safer to wander down. We'll definitely be back once we have another little break from the office and school.

• Beautiful home on the water

  This home was perfect for our family! The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils and dishes. There were plenty of places to sleep and also living space to hang out. The master bedroom and bath are amazing with a private balcony and beautiful views. The convenience of the basically private beach made the trip unforgettable. You have to be strategic in the time you play in the water because of the tide but we were able to get in 6 hours a day of beach time. I saw some reviews saying traffic noise was unbearable however we weren't bothered by the noise of the traffic at all as the ocean sounds over powered most of it. The beds were pretty comfortable with more than enough linens. There were tons of towels and beach towels as well as beach chairs and toys. The washer and dryer also work great. The home is older and has some quirks but you can tell the owners are working on updates. Overall we enjoyed ourselves very much and have joyful memories in Malibu. We would definitely stay here again!

  During our VRBO stay with 8 people, we found the room clean and the house nicely tidy, offering all amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. From kitchen seasonings to extra blankets and towels, everything was provided. Despite the rain and cooler weather, the heater kept us cozy, and we especially enjoyed the sauna in the master bedroom shower room. We did notice some salt water residue on the windows, due to the proximity of the ocean, but it didn't significantly impact our stay. Although there were some minor issues such as, difficulty opening doors due to ocean water damage, these were expected for an older house.

  As an alumni of Pepperdine, the location, right off Pacific Coast Highway and near the university, added to the convenience and charm of the stay. Additionally, we also checked out the rooftop that had a beautiful view of the ocean with chairs available for enjoying the Malibu sunset. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Malibu.
