This is a really cute house that is walking distance to Lake Arrowhead village. The neighborhood is very quiet and the house is well appointed. The kitchen is well stocked and the bathrooms (which are nicely upgraded) had everything we needed. There are only 2 bathrooms and the 1 bathroom on the main floor is the en suite to the master. So the upstairs bedroom doesn't have a bathroom and that person had to go all the way down to the bottom floor to use the bathroom at night. It was not a big deal for us, but if you have little kids that you plan to have in the upstairs loft room, I'd think about it. The house is an older home, so you hear everyone walking around, moving and water running in the bathrooms. We are a family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 teens. It was perfect for us and everyone had their own space. The kitchen was great and we cooked breakfasts each day. The dining room table is huge and the tv room/living room was very comfortable for all of us to watch movies at night. It was hot during the days on our trip and the AC in the main floor was so nice. Opening the windows at night really cooled the entire place down. It was very comfortable. The owner is very helpful and communicative and really does everything to make your stay better. We really appreciated having this place as our "home base" for our very first trip to Lake Arrowhead. We didn't use the lake access offered by the owner as we had waterski lessons scheduled, so I don't know what the beach clubs are like. The lake was beautiful and so fun. Thank you!!
My only complaints were a lot of moths and we could not use the back deck. There were no seat cushions and tree sap covered the deck and table.

The owner asked us to pass along the following response: "Tracy, we hope you enjoyed your stay overall and apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay. As our house is in the middle of nature, moths during this time of year are common. With unprecedented heat, there has been an increase in sap from the surrounding trees. We have the seat cushions protected in a bin on the deck next to the chairs to ensure guests have clean cushions during their stay. We'll be sure to alert future guests to their availability. We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to address your concerns."
Overall like the "chateau" very much. Nice having three levels when you have a larger group. Foosball table downstairs was a big plus too. Nicely remodeled kitchen (well appointed) and bathrooms. Would have been nice to have a toilet upstairs but that would be only suggestion.

The house was perfect and the location was great. It was split levels so you could have 2 families or multiple couples or a large group without feeling cramped. It was decorated so well with the mountain/lake theme which made it feel so homey. You could walk to the village along the road. Everything was comfortable and easy to figure out. My only tiny tiny problem was the door locks. The directions that were emailed were confusing for the two door locks so we had to try several different times and ways to get in. Once we got it, it was fine but I don’t think the directions were correct. Other than that, it was fantastic and I would stay there again.
