  We planned a weekend to take our granddaughter and 6 month pregnant daughter to Sea World and spend some time at the beach in lovely San Diego. We were contacted, via text at 7:14 AM, by the property host Alex stating how happy they were we were going to be staying at their property and that we would be receiving a code for the lockbox later that afternoon to give us access to the keys. We drive to San Diego and didn't receive the code until 12:45 AM...yes that is correct 12:45 AM. I had to call The Evolve Team to actually get a person to talk to. They said they were sorry, go get a hotel and they would reimburse us.?.?.? Thank God we have family in the area that let us stay with them the first night. I spent hours texting and calling with no response from Alex until 12:45 AM when she finally sent the code. I was absolutely astonished at the lack of customer service!

  The next day we go to the house about 10 AM, drop off our luggage and turned the Air Conditioner on because the temp was 83 degrees. We then left for the day, didn't shower, use a toilet, sleep in a bed, , cook a piece of toast, nothing and returned at 10:45 PM. We walked into the house and it was 87 degrees. 4 degrees hotter than when we left that morning. I reached out to Alex and her suggestion was to open the windows and use the 2 small 6" x 6" portable air units on the nightstands. I told her this was unacceptable for our family and we were leaving and I expected a full refund. My daughter was able to locate a hotel with a few rooms available and we finally got to be at 1 AM in the morning.

  After all of the frustration, back and forth, inconvenience and outright disrespect we did enjoy our time in San Diego no thanks to Alex or The Evolve Team.

  I would never recommend anyone stay in this house or any house that Alex is the host. She was completely unreachable when she should have been there.

  If this is the last place available, GET A HOTEL!!! Even if it costs more.

  -We sincerely apologize for the delay in providing the lockbox code and any lack of responsiveness you experienced. Our goal is always to deliver prompt and effective communication, and we understand the inconvenience this may have caused.
  -Regarding the A/C, it had its annual service just prior to your arrival and was found to have no issues. It is currently working perfectly.
  -We made every effort to address your concerns and ensure that your stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We worked diligently to find solutions and provide assistance throughout your visit. However, despite our sincere and best efforts, we regret that we were unable to meet your expectations.
  
  We are committed to going above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays. Thank you for your review.

• Clean and spacious

  Plenty of room for the 3 of us. Well appointed kitchen. Almost no hot water until we notified the host. Very responsive host. Furnishings are dated and a mix of styles, but still clean and comfortable. Some windows hard to open and close, and latch as they are worn. Still, would stay there again.

  We were in town to meet our new grand daughter! This location is walking distance to the main part of town and restaurants. It's also across the street to La Mesa Community Center/Pool/park, which is ideal for families with children since there is no yard. Our grandson stayed a couple of nights with us in the extra bedroom. Super comfy beds and welcoming interior. I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 only because it advertises as a home yet there were 2 other units attached to it. The tenants are super quiet and we didn't even realize they were there when they were home. It did not hinder our stay at all and I would stay here again.

• Such an Adorable Place

  Great fun visiting La Mesa with my family in this space. We spent every morning having coffee on the deck and enjoyed movie nights in the comfy living room. Great service from the managers too!
