  • CHECK BATTERIES IN DETECTORS WHEN YOU RENT!

    IN THE FIRST COUPLE DAYS WE KEPT HAVING HEADACHES IN THE MORNINGS, AFTER CHECKING CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS, I FOUND THE BATTERIES WERE OUT OF DATE. AFTER CHANGING ALL BATTERIES IN THE HOUSE, WE WERE AWOKEN AT 1 IN THE MORNING WITH ALL DETECTORS RINGING! THE GAS CO CAME AND TURNED OFF THE GAS AND SAID THE FURNACE WAS JUNK AND LEAKING GAS INTO THE HOUSE. 3 DAYS WITH NO HEAT, A NEW FURNACE WAS INSTALLED. THREE NIGHTS LATER MY SISTER WAS THERE TO VISIT AND SHE GOT A TERRIBLE HEADACHE. MY WIFE ALSO KEPT GETTING HEADACHES BUT THAT EVENING I WAS OUTSIDE GRILLING, CAME BACK INTO THE HOUSE AND MY WIFE HAD BEEN OVERCOME WITH GAS! WE GOT MY WIFE AND SISTER OUT OF THE HOUSE, OPENED ALL THE WINDOWS AND DOORS AND CALLED 911. THE FIRE DEPT, EMTS, AND GAS CO ALL CAME TO THE HOUSE. COME TO FIND OUT THE WATER HEATER, WHICH WAS 10 INCHES FROM THE FURNACE, WAS SHOT AND LEAKING GAS AND EXHAUST INTO THE HOUSE! TWO DAYS WITH NO HOT WATER, A NEW WATER HEATER WAS INSTALLED AND THE FURNACE DUCTWORK WAS REPAIRED! WE ARE VERY LUCKY TO STILL BE HERE ACCORDING TO THE FIREMEN! IN THE FUTURE WHEN YOU RENT, ALWAYS CHECK YOUR DETECTORS BATTERIES, IT COULD TO TRAGIC! SINCERLY CHUCK MALEK.

    - We're surprised to read your review as we have not had any issues or complaints with the detectors, prior to, or since your stay, and all detectors have been confirmed to be in perfect working order
    - Additionally, we placed the call to the fire department and have submitted documentation to show this
    - The furnace has been replaced
    -We apologize for the impact this had on your vacation experience as we always strive to provide a clean, safe, and excellent experience for all of our guests, and will continue to do so.
