Holiday Visit
4/5 Overall, the house worked out OK for our holiday visit to see my father in Silver Lakes. There were a few items that were broken upon our arrival --- downstairs showerhead, one of the stove top burners and a bathroom vanity door was off its hinge. I'd add that the kitchen did not have very many plates/silverware and some of the pots/pans were rusted and put away dirty, no wine glasses, the refrigerator does not have an ice maker and there was no dishwasher detergent provided. I'd urge future guests to be sure to bring their own shampoo and bathroom soap as none was provided. While the property was advertised as a four bedroom, one of the bedrooms contained a bed that was not assembled and therefore unusable. The outside firepit was available but no instructions on how it should be lit. Some prior guests left wood in the pit, but it was a natural gas fired pit. We elected not to use it. Overall, the house worked out fine for us. It fell short of a 5-star rating due to the issues listed above.
