Great location, close to Yosemite, and private access to the south fork Tuolumne River. The interior of the house is comfortable with a mix of original and updated features and appliances. It has central air which was welcome. It could use some newer linens, towels, and pillows though. Some parts of the exterior of the house are rundown, like the exterior front steps that are crumbling a little bit (may be a hazard to older people) and the rail on the back steps which is really wobbly and about to break away.Beware the interior lower bedroom door is lockable and the provided key to the house does not open it. We found this out the hard way when it got accidentally locked and shut. Luckily, after searching all the drawers, closets, and cabinets for about an hour we found the keys that unlocked the door. Dan, the owner, was responsive to my calls about this but he couldn’t really do anything about it since he doesn’t live in the area. Everyone (guests and owner) should know of this possibility and the location of the keys to open the door.We didn’t see a fire pit anywhere.

We stayed here as we visited Yosemite. But when you visit Yosemite, you don't spend much time at the house.
The house had everything we needed!
Very close to the camp site thousand trails and the park entrance was super close!
