The view from the deck was gorgeous and it was a short drive to the town of big bear which had stores and lots of activities. One day we explored big bear and the other day we relaxed on the back deck all day. Communication with the host was super easy and convenient, as well as the check in process. Do recommend!!

We stayed 10 days in early September when the weather was very mild. Enjoyed every day we've spend in the cabin and lake!

This is a very pleasant and comfortable little cabin. Clean, well-stocked, beautiful views. I really enjoyed the mountain-themed decor.... lots of wood everywhere.
Pros:
- nicely furnished, inside and out... patio had a picnic table, chairs, and a padded lounge. Living room had 2 large, comfy recliners in addition to the couch.
- quiet neighborhood, and I do mean quiet... blissful silence the whole time.
- kitchen looked fully stocked... I spent most days at my daughter's, so I didn't use it
- cozy layout, but open... plenty of room for two
- motion detector lights outside were a godsend when I came home in the evening without having left the porch light on
- the stars were gorgeous at this elevation... wish I'd made time to bundle up on the deck and enjoy them
Cons:
- this property is accessible only to those without mobility issues. The front door is accessed by a short staircase down from the street, then a curved gravel path descending to the small porch. No problem for me, but I'm relatively sure-footed. Those with canes or walkers or who need smooth ground would have difficulty.
- the front deadbolt was a little tricky... by the 3rd time leaving the cabin, I finally remembered to pull the doorknob up to seat it correctly.
Overall, I was very pleased and would definitely stay here again!
We had a great time. Property is well kept and very clean. My wife was concerned about the occasional ant isolated to the kitchen, which is a major problem in all of Big Bear therefore, I think we just had to keep the counters clear and clean.
