• Wonderful stay at Lake Almanor West

  We stayed at this house last year and it was great. It was great again this year. Well laid out, lots of room, comfortable furnishings. Everything was clean and well stocked.

  When we arrived at the house and saw the kitchen counter had mice POOP all over the counter. We called the host and explained the problem.

  After an argument she call us back and set up an appointment the next morning for a pest company to come out between 8 am and 10 am. We called the host back at 11:30 am and told her it was a NO SHOW(had cancel my tee time) NO other communication with the host. The next day we got back to the house at about 11 am or so and a new Pest company came to the door with out any communication from the host. That morning before we went fishing we had caught a mouse!

  To make a long story short if rent this house be aware. Also on Monday morning someone entered the garage (without notice) and hauled out the garbage. The host company always want to argue about our concerns.

  -We were made aware of a single mouse sighting, and while this can occasionally happen in a mountain setting, we acted quickly by arranging for both a local contact to set traps and a professional pest control company to assess the situation.
  -Although the first provider missed their scheduled appointment, we secured a second company who confirmed there was no infestation and placed preventative bait stations as a precaution.
  -The home is regularly praised for its cleanliness in reviews, and we’ll continue taking extra steps to maintain those high standards.
  -We also provide assistance with trash removal by having a local contact take bins to the road for pickup—this is done to help guests, though we understand it would have been helpful to receive advance notice.

• Beautiful property at Top of the West

  I have stayed in many Lake Almanor rentals and this one was by far the nicest. Well decorated, beautiful views, and A/c!!! Management was very responsive and helpful.
