My husband and I planned a getaway for our 1 year wedding anniversary and this location was great! So quiet and relaxing. The property was clean and stocked with what we needed (toiletries). It was so peaceful and loved seeing / hearing the animals. The jacuzzi was so relaxing and well kept. And the gas grill worked properly. We didn’t have any contact with the host / owner. But we appreciate your property and loved our stay.

From the owner: "I usually send a welcome greeting before your stay but forgot to for you. Otherwise, we like to give our guests total privacy. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. Please come again."
We had the best stay at the lake cottage. The space was clean and comfortable. The host was beyond attentive when we had questions. It was the perfect balance of being secluded, with necessities near by. We loved our time there and will absolutely be back.
We loved the the cool mornings in the hot tub, the sounds of the animals on property, and the sunset views over the mountains. It was dreamy and Brennan’s hospitality is unmatched. Thank you for a memorable stay.
Advice for future travelers, please book with the right expectations. The property is remote and on a ranch. There will be animal sounds & animals of all kinds around the property that add to its charm (lizards, insects, etc.).
If you do not appreciate nature in all its forms, this may not be the right property for you.
From the owner: "Thank you for all of your valuable feedback Eryn. Your comments are all helpful. Please come again."
We were fascinated to see dozens of quail outside the window of this cottage, along with sheep and two alpaca. The sound of crickets helped lull us to sleep, aided by a soak in the hot tub.
Oh, and if you enjoy seeing the night’s stars, you’re in for a treat. On moonless nights, the stars are exceptional!
The cottage is spacious and well-equipped, with pots and pans, glasses and cups, utensils and coffee.
Note that you’re in the country and there isn’t anything nearby to walk to. Also, although there’s a reference to the two lakes, neither is visible. Also, being in the country means that the water is from a well or spring, which in case means it has many minerals, many of which we found offputting due to their strong smell and taste. Fortunately, the owner supplied us with bottled water.
This place has lots of potential and could benefit from a little more attention here and there. The bed’s mattress felt well-used due to the rim being stable and the center being sagged. Hopefully, this will be replaced before too long to help return this cottage to a higher level.
All in all, a nicely sized comfortable enough place to rest.

From the owner: "Thanks for your feedback Daniel, especially the comment about the bed. It turns out the middle support was broken on the bed frame. This has now been replaced with a new bed frame. Hope you will return."
This place was perfect for someone looking for a nice, clean, quiet place to stay around Paso Robles. It was about a 10 minute drive to the Lake Nacimiento Resort and about a 25 minute drive into Paso. We really enjoyed our stay here and the hot tub was great as well. We will be back.
