Located just two miles from Bethel Island, which is a beautiful place to visit, you are just a short drive from many entertaining attractions, including Frank's Tract State Recreation Area (great place for fishing and boating), Russo's Marina (another great spot for boating and fishing), Bethel Island Golf Course, Dow Wetlands Preserve (hiking and birdwatching), East Contra Costa Museum, Contra Costa County Fairgrounds, and Bethel Island Park.

Not bad
4/5 The foundation is off so everything is slanted. Not a big deal but probably not the safest thing. The water is there but not visible from the house. You have a hill and a maybe 40 stairs to climb and then you can see the dock and water. Other than two things if is cool. Well stocked with appliances and kitchen tools. Overall it felt clean. Lots of outdoors places to hang out in. Big tvs all over but no cable so kinda doing the amazon prime thing. Internet was fine. Parking was good. Had washer and dryer!

Rustic Escape
4/5 The location is ideal for those seeking to be right on the water in Bethel Island. It is rustic but well appointed.
Nice out of the way stay place to stay the weekend (take note of the 3rd bedroom and bathroom)
4/5 The place has great outdoor spaces and my under 10 kids loved playing outside. Quiet and out of the way, feels very private. The home is well maintained and we felt very comfortable with all the kitchen amenities. Nice open floor plan so we can keep an eye on the kids. The furniture was nice and clean. Lots of seating and lounging areas. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of kitchen amenities, in good working order, dishwasher, coffee Keurig, air fryer, cooking utensils, etc... The floor is very uneven in most places but it wasn't a problem.
A few problems came up, but did not spoil the weekend.
BIG THING TO NOTE, if they have not updated the information on the listing, The listing for this stay is not clear that the 3rd bedroom is not connected to the main home. You have to go outside and key into an additional room a few steps away from the main home. This information would have been helpful as we had to rearrange sleeping assignments as we had children under 10 with us. It also shows a picture and notes a 3rd bathroom. I think it's outside, but we walked around and never found the 3rd bathroom.
The wi-fi was not working but that seems an easy fix.
Despite a few problems we enjoyed our stay and can recommend it for a quick very reasonably priced stay with kids.
