• Good location, a bit dated inside

  We found this location to be great for all downtown activities in Avalon. Tried to check in early, and owner said he would notify us when cleaning crew was done. Never got that call, despite them being done early. Found all the smoke detectors out of service and notified the owner (the "on island" point of contact) per his request in their pamphlet. Said he couldn't get to the repairs for several weeks as he wasn't on island. My sense is that for a safety item, something should have been done (there are craftsmen and a hardware store on island), but it wasn't. For this reason, we will not be staying in this unit again.

  - The home was fully renovated less than a year ago, and we take pride in offering modern and comfortable accommodations.
  - The cleaning was completed 20 minutes before your arrival. However, the floors were still wet, so an immediate entry would present a safety hazard. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused and will ensure better coordination in the future.
  - We apologize for the issue with the smoke detectors. Rest assured, we've promptly addressed this issue to ensure they are fully functional for the safety and peace of mind of our guests.

  We had a great stay! Due to unfortunate circumstances we had to stay an extra day. Host was super helpful and easily made the change. We would definitely stay again. Such a cute house and close to everything!

• Loud otherwise great

  Owner very responsive and cute place!

  Late check in. Very loud neighbors each night all night. Building adjacent to them so you hear everything.
