Very peaceful property - a little hot at night (no central air for us hot flashers) but windows and fans were an acceptable substitute. Kitchen was fully stocked, pets were happy in the fenced yard (frenchie) and kids adored the toys in the “kid” room. Plus, watched deer in the morning from the front porch. Great stay!

Host, Sharyl, was very accommodating and provided a wealth of information about the property and the area. The cabin is very comfortable. The road to the property is gravel and a bit dusty. It was peaceful and quiet. There is a small swingset for the kids.

a 3 night stay while in the area on various personal as well as business errands.
I travel to this area often.
Hostess is impeccable with communication and manages a nice, clean 3 bedroom home.
If you are looking for big night viewing opportunities, calming and restorative daytime views, incredible sunsets with modest seclusion and no noise of civilization,,,
(although all you need is in Springerville just a few miles away),,,this place is for you. Yes there is cell coverage and wifi if that is important to you.
here's a small tip, Bring comfortable camping chairs to sit out in the front yard!
Well equipped kitchen.
it's my second stay after finding this place, it won't be my last!
I'm holding back on 5 star review till a front deck is constructed. As is, it's exactly what I'm always looking for.
A contemplative sitting, viewing and dining deck on the front of the house would earn it a 10 star review, but not having one will not stop me from booking again and again.
From the owner: "Thank you for your very nice comments! Look forward to you visiting again! You are a great guest, and we appreciate your business. Have a blessed year. Sharyl Lin Hooper Bancroft"
My wife and I regularly look for places like this, rural setting on a dead end dirt road (this one is in very good condition), no city lights, no traffic noise....just quiet with countless stars above. However we really live outside, on patios and decks. This property is begging for a front deck, the sunsets were worth the trip alone. I'll be inquiring next time if I can bring my horses and do a ride about the property. We pulled into the area a little closer to dark than we anticipated, I'm glad we found it before sunset.....like I say its a dark dead end road in the middle of the night.
