• Terrible communication with host/patio very dirt

  It is a shame that I have to give this property a 3 star rating. But the total lack of communication with the host and the filthiness of the outside patio leaves me no choice. I never got check in instructions and had to call Evolve who emailed me the instructions and gave me the code to get in the home.

  The inside of the home was clean but the outside patio was a disaster. The screen door was off the tracks, the bbq was so filthy it could not be used, the patio furniture and the deck was covered in dust, and the arcadia door was so dirty I could barely see through it. I made at least 4 attempts to contact the host, calling her, and messaging her with not one reply. I would never stay there again.

  issues you faced. The homeowner wanted to provide some additional context:
  -The homeowner has spoken with the cleaning company to ensure the back deck
  is properly cleaned after each stay. After personally inspecting it, they
  agreed that it wasn’t up to the high standard they expect. The deck has
  since been cleaned, and the homeowner is committed to maintaining it in
  better condition moving forward.
  -Regarding the check-in instructions, Evolve confirmed that they were sent
  to the email on file when payment was made on May 7th and then again on
  July 12th before your check-in. Please double-check that the correct email
  is associated with your booking to avoid any issues in the future.
  We apologize for the lack of response from the host during your stay and
  understand how frustrating that must have been. Your feedback is valuable
  in helping us improve, and we hope that your next rental experience is much
  smoother. Thank you again for your review, and we’re glad you enjoyed the
  home despite these challenges.

  Great location in Torreon and very clean and spacious lodge in Torreon. Great view of golf course and walking distance to everything.

• Disappointed in Property Condition

  Beautiful location - quiet and peaceful and convenient. Good layout of home/villa BUT looks like they are trying to squeeze every penny they can out of it without putting any money into it. Sliding glass patio doors and, especially, the screens, were almost unworkable. A few dollars maintenance and they’d be fine. Blinds were missing slats in living room and master bedroom. Also about 20 years old. Side shelves in fridge did not fit - were not proper model. Furniture was not all that comfortable - felt like it was least they could get by with. Should and could be a premier site but sub-standard considering what we had to pay.

  - Several significant improvements have been made recently, including updating the roof, deck, and railing, as well as replacing the bed in the master bedroom, repairing the fireplace, and updating the A/C system.
  - Although we strive to cater to the comfort of all our guests, we understand that furniture preferences can be subjective.
  - It's noteworthy that we have not encountered similar complaints about the furniture in the past.
  - The blinds and screen doors were recently damaged by a previous guest. While replacements are already planned they unfortunately were not able to be completed before your stay.
  We strive to provide every guest with a comfortable, peaceful environment to get away to and relax and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
