We found our stay to be mostly unsatisfactory and left a day early it was so unpleasant. The host was very nice and we had a pleasant conversation. Also, the fruit grove surrounding the casita was enjoyable. I'm afraid those are the only 2 positive things I can say about our stay. The pictures provided are either old or staged to make it aesthetic. Everything in the room appears to be bought from Goodwill 40 years ago, and it was all junk. 1 trash bag for a 5 day stay and 1 dish towel. Fridge and fridge drawers all had old crusty substances on and in them. Very little silverware thrown in with sharp knives. Old food in the freezer. Keurig works every 2 or 3 tries. 1 well-used old leather love seat that looks like a cats old scratching post. The small tv has 2 big dark spots on it that made it impossible to enjoy. The tv stand is a junk dresser and falling apart. Bed was junk. Bathroom sink and shower knobs falling off or either turning on scalding hot water or all cold. My wife had to take a cold shower our last day, which prompted us to leave a day early. There was another incident that weighed heavily on us. We had the door open to enjoy the fresh air and the host walked into the living area unannounced to check the Internet connection on the TV (which we didn't request) and discuss politics. The living area was where our suitcases were open and my wife's unmentionables were quite visible.
This was the most disconcerting part of our stay. Again, the host was very kind but should probably rethink renting out the Casita as a vacation rental home.
Perfect
We enjoyed patio by pool. Host was friendly and was available if we needed anything. We would stay again.

Our host was very nice and super accommodating. The casita met our needs for a short trip. It could use a deep cleaning. We were okay with what we got for the advertised nightly rate. But the Host fees were more than the room fee. I went ahead and booked it because it was close to our destination, accepted our dog, and met our basic needs. But I won’t do that again. I can’t see paying more in fees than the rate for the casita. It seems like host fees should be in proportion to the rental fee?!?
