The central air conditioning did not work. Swamp coolers installed in window and portable A/C units attached to windows would blow the fuse when turned on. We had to choose either no cold air OR no cold air and no electricity. The temp in the house for the majority of our stay was 94 degrees. Communicated with property manager and was told they would likely not be able to get someone out to look at/fix it and then stopped responding to texts. We resorted to bowls of ice in front of fans to try to stay somewhat cool. The shower did not drain properly and when running, the pipes banged so loudly it was difficult to hear either people or the television. This property is for sale and likely a short term offering on VRBO, it is not fit to rent out. I would caution against renting from Evolve Vacation Rentals, they are the property management company renting this property with little care and non-functioning amenities to (likely, but not sure) turn a quick buck while the house sits on the market.

Elizabeth, We have followed up with the homeowner, and we'd like to share the following:
-The house is not on the market for sale.
-The guest contact received no communication from your group during your stay, including any texts. We are unsure who you talked with, as we list the only contact on the pre-stay email.
-The pipes were inspected and checked to be fine after your stay- they do not cause noise.
These owners go above and beyond with their guest communication, and we are sure that they will continue to provide travelers with five-star experiences!
Overall, quite happy with our stay in this home. It was noted as a “New” listing and there were no reviews to refer to. (Note: the address in the check-in instructions was not complete. The property is on Idylwild HILL Rd)The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked for food prep and eating. Some kitchen basics were provided (S&P, coffee, sugar, powdered creamer, some seasonings). The portable a/c units were effective and welcome. Shower water pressure was great, and the water from the tap tasted good. There is Dish satellite service with easy access to log in to my Netflix account. The home is sparsely decorated. The bedrooms would benefit from a luggage rack or piece of furniture to set luggage on. Also at least one bedside lamp. The bathroom has been updated but there are no towel bars or hooks for towels to hang to dry. There is not a BBQ at the property which would be a nice addition. We had to get in touch with the contact person on a couple of occasions, and she was very quick to respond to text messages. We enjoyed being able to sit outside and enjoy the cooler mornings and evenings. A special treat was 2 days of visits by a deer that came to rest just behind the house during the mid afternoon heat. We would return to this property.

We had a good stay overall. Property was very clean, but has basic amenities and is lacking in certain areas like there is no reading lights available in the 2 bedrooms. Outside furniture is also basic - we used our own chairs. Yet, it is well located, close to Prescott forest and downtown, nice neighborhood.

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay, Olivier! We love your suggestion of adding reading lights to the bedrooms and the homeowner is looking into it - thanks so much! We appreciate your feedback and hope to host you again soon.
