It was me and my three daughters (ages 11-14). It was a lovely cabin with nothing wanting for a short stay. The beds were comfortable and even in the height of July we stayed cool enough with the windows open and a few fans (there were at least 3 provided at the property). My daughters LOVED the disc golf course and I loved the peaceful location. The refrigerator and freezer are on the smaller side, so if you have a family and plan to stay for more than 3-4 days, you will want to plan a trip into town to restock any perishables. You could probably bring food for a week if it's just 2 of you. We had a small problem upon checkin, but the property manager was very responsive and it all worked out. The property is advertised as up to 5, but if my husband had come as planned it would have been a tight squeeze. Ther eis enough beds for 5 (with the living room futon) but the living room seating is only really for 4 (although there are two dining chairs at the breakfast bar) and the dining table (out side on a nice coverd deck) also only had 4 seats, with no other chairs that could be moved to make room.

My family and I had a wonderful stay over the fourth of July. Myself and my three children (ages 11-14) enjoyed the cabin very much. There was one small snafu, but Barbara was available and very attentive to getting it taken care of. The Cabin had everything we needed to cook and be comfortable for the three nights. The wide porches were great for watching the afternoon rain and for enjoying our meals outside. We even saw a group of deer wander by one evening. Originally my husband had planned to come as well, and with 5 adults/near adults it would have been cramped to dine together or to relax in the living room in the evenings, but it was great for 4. We all enjoyed the disc golf course a lot. My kids definitely want to return.
Overall, a fun location, and would visit again. If we had a 4-wheel drive, we would definitely come again in the winter.
Pros:
- Great location; feels secluded
- Wifi and Roku!
- Class 3 darkness: Able to see milky way structures, nebulas, and gobular clusters with the naked eye. Binoculars and/or telescope make this extremely beautiful.
- Wood burning stove with firewood (makes sure fireban doesn't restrict this)
- Fully stocked kitchen tools, BBQ grill with utensils, refrigerator and freezer.
- Back patio has scenic views across valley, and front patio feels enclosed and secluded
- 3.5 mile drive up is fun.
Cons:
- Slate table on back patio NOT CONNECTED to legs. We have an infant learning to stand, so we were lucky to have noticed this right away, as it could have easily fallen on her.
- Knives VERY dull (lucky, I brought my own camping knives)
- DVD player wouldn't work
- Door to one of the bedrooms wouldn't close
- Outdoor games (frisbee golf and horseshoe) are very difficult to play due to overgrowth and unattended trails. It was still fun, but some of the frisbee golf "holes" are down ravines. Made the game more adventurous.
No snags what so ever! Super simple.
