• Relaxing summer family getaway in the pines

  Our family of 7 (2 adults, 4 kids elementary and middle school age, and our pet rabbit) had a great time in this beautiful cabin at the edge of the forest. There was plenty of room for us to spread out during the day when the heat wave outside kept us indoors for a bit. You literally couldn't be closer to the forest trails. Plenty of options on the TV for when it got dark too. Kitchen had some extra gadgets too (like a counter ice machine and an air fryer) :)

  We absolutely loved our stay here. The location of this property is beyond stunning, and you feel almost secluded, there are properties on either side, however zero properties behind you, just an abundance of beautiful trees. We love being outdoors and a huge bonus is a walking/hiking trail right behind the house, literal entrance to this. Easy walk, me and my kiddos walked this 3 times a day, early morning, lunch, and evenings. The cabin is very welcoming and we felt right at home. Loved that the wood for both fire places is provided. Another bonus is that the yard is fenced in, never had to worry about our dog or kids, they were free to roam out back whenever they wanted and we could see them from the windows. Never thought I would need to fire places but believe me when I say we LOVED it!! The most beautiful location inside the cabin and outside, we will 100% come back again, and hopefully sometime when it snows. Thank you for welcoming my family to your beautiful cabin. Melissa

• No toilet paper :(

  The cabin was cleaned only on the surface. I cleaned out the refrigerator of expired/old food. The refrigerator and freezer needed to be cleaned. There was so much dust and a lot of debris on the floor. The fire places were not cleaned out which made the place smell like smoke. And we ran out of toilet paper. I had to go buy some. The hostess, however, was very understanding and refunded some $ back to me.

  "Derrick, we are sorry that you had issues checking into our home.
  
  - The lock instructions are on the lock itself. We also make sure to send all guests the code to get in. Worst-case scenario, there is also a phone number to call to get a backup key to get in, if necessary.
  - Additionally, we have a hidden key in the event that it is ever needed! We understand how this can be a bit tricky for our guests to understand.
  - We will address this issue and look into changing the lock or coming up with an easier alternative for our future guests.
