Hi Loren, the right atmosphere is key to a great stay, so we’re sorry to hear the fireplace didn’t meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
-They promptly offered to have the fireplace checked during your stay, but unfortunately didn’t receive a response to arrange this.
-The fireplace is serviced annually, and a recent inspection revealed no issues. However, the homeowner has decided to replace the wood-burning fireplace with an electric one to avoid any future concerns.
-None of the previous or subsequent guests reported a similar issue, but they took your feedback seriously to ensure guest comfort moving forward.
