This was our 4th stay in Heber/Overgaard and was without a doubt the worst experience to date. The directions stated that the code to get the keys from the lock box were in the mailbox. Problem, there was no mailbox. When we called the local contact we learned she was located in Mesa, a suburb of Phoenix. Not exactly local. Then we tried to turn the lights on in the living room but nothing happened. Upon investigation, there was no light bulb in the lamp and the other one didn't work. I was told to ask one of the neighbors for bulbs. Really! Neither toilet worked properly. When you flushed either one, you had to stand there with your hand on the lever or the waste would not flush. If you didn't do that, the next time you used the toilet the would be flowers and soiled bathroom tissue in the bowl. The list goes on but I am running out of space. For the amount of money VRBO charged I expected better. I would not recommend this cabin to anyone at this price point. You can do much better. As far as VRBO goes, you may want to look at the commercials I saw all weekend telling people what a great outfit they are. Personally I will never, NEVER use anything from VRBO in the future again.

J Richard, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they would like to share the following:
- Thank you for choosing to stay in my home and leaving a review, as guest feedback is vitally important to the success of my vacation rental business.
- I'm very sorry about the confusion you experienced with checking in, as the check-in instructions state that the key will be in a lockbox; however, I'm happy that you got into the home quickly.
- My apologies for the lightbulbs not working in the living room. Since your call came in late, I contacted my neighbor to assist you as I didn't want you to wait until the morning.
- The toilet is a few years old, but I will contact a plumber to adjust the lever so you don't have to hold it down.
- I truly go above and beyond for my guests and am confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
The cabin was great. Well equipped. Very spacious with lots of beds. Great location . We saw lots of wild horses behind the cabin. We had a fantastic stay and will rent again.
It was a perfect quick weekend away to unplug, bike, play basketball and sit by the fireplace. We cannot wait to come back!

This cabin is perfect for families. There is a ton of indoor and outdoor space, as well as, an entire cabinet of games. We loved waking up and spending time on the back deck in our pjs with coffee and looking for wild horses! There are plenty of blankets and pillows available and a gorgeous working fireplace!
Our stay was great. Plenty of things to do and animals to see. There are great trails to take to see nature at its finest. In the morning you can walk out to the backyard and be greeted with wild horses. definitely would recommend another stay.
