• Neighborhood family fun oasis

  Our very large family of 9 adults, 3 kids, and 2 babies had a blast in this quiet, comfy spot that was close to whatever we needed. We had more than enough room for everyone, and plenty to do to relax and have fun either on site or accessible to travel. There were a few minor issues to deal with, but the host was instantly responsive, communicated with kindness and professionalism, and did all they could to resolve. My family all loved the space, and was able to relax in stress-free zone. The neighborhood is friendly and very quiet. The only downside was the weather was cooler than average for AZ, so we used the firepit and chilled outside by the fire!

  Big house with lots of room for the entire family. However, we immediately noticed that the property was less than expected.

  -Floors were dirty

  -Ice maker didn't work

  -One of the toilets was leaking at the base

  -Grills were very dirty

  -One of the patio doors would not lock

  -The security system was beeping continuously (I had to communicate with the owner

  to trouble shoot it over two days. It actually woke some of us in the middle of the

  night).

  - Entire house looked very dingy

  Most of the woodwork was worn and dirty including most the interior doors.

  Walls needed a fresh coat of paint everywhere. There were holes in the wall near

  some of the windows where there were probably curtains hung at one time but

  never repaired.

  Mismatched door hardware throughout

  A couple of interior doors would not close properly unless you lifted the doorknob

  to do so.

  Light above the stove did not work

  None of the three bathrooms had toilet paper holders

  -Landscapers showed up one morning at 7:15 AM and started with their very loud leaf

  blowers. Again, waking up half of the house. I had to ask them to come back later.

  When I communicated that to the owner, he said it was in the listing that this would

  happen. I never saw that. But what I did see was that "Quiet time,

  between 10PM and 8AM was to be observed.) Then why were they there at 7:15?

  When I communicated with the owner, and Evolve, they said they could send a cleaning crew back out right away. Now.... That would've been a big inconvenience to our entire family, so I said no, just give me some sort of compensation. (still waiting on that). In addition, no one responded to the leaking toilet, the broken ice maker or the patio door that wouldn't lock.

  I would not recommend this property to anyone.

  Hi David, we're sorry to hear your stay fell short of expectations. The homeowner would like to provide some clarification:
  - Due to an unexpected back-to-back booking caused by a system glitch, we brought in an additional cleaning team to ensure the home was guest-ready, including cleaning the floors and grills thoroughly. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.
  - The ice maker is intentionally unplugged, which is why we stocked the freezer with two bags of ice in advance for guest use.
  - We responded quickly to the issue with the alarm system, which was caused by a glitch, and worked with you to disable the chime; we also offered to send a cleaning crew and maintenance support for the leaking toilet, though you declined service to avoid disrupting your group.
  - While the early landscaper visit was included in the guest welcome materials, we understand the timing wasn’t ideal and encourage future guests to let us know in advance if they’d prefer a different schedule.
  - We’re inspecting the upstairs patio door to confirm if it needs repair, though it is not accessible from outside for safety reasons.
  Thank you for your feedback—it helps us continue to improve for all our guests.

• Fit the bill…

  Met up with our grown kids, grandkids and a family dog for some Spring League baseball. The Avondale home is nothing too fancy but was perfect for our needs - roomy, close to Camelback Ranch stadium, has a back yard, and all the basics needed for our families (pool, big screen TV, extra pack-n-play, washer-n-dryer, etc).

  We were very happy with this property and really enjoyed our stay. House is spacious and backyard is very nice. We recommend!

  Our group attended Arizona for a football game. Excellent location and very well equipped house. Served all our groups needs. Very spacious and clean.
