5/5 GREAT RENTAL HOUSE/ REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY /WILL RECOMMEND TO OTHERS/LOVED THE ANTIQUE DRESSER IN BACK BEDROOM/WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ONE LIKE IT / OUR FAMILY HAD AGREAT BONDING TIME SINCE WE LIVE IN DIFFERENT STATES AND CAN!T GET TOGETHER VERY OFTEN .JUST WISH IT HAD!NT RAINED .EVERYDAY . MY PARENTS WERE BORN AROUND FIFTY-SIX AND TIMBO. WE USED TO GO TO CAMP MEETING EVERY AUGUST AT ROUND MT. CHURCH. MY DAD PREACHED THERE AND ALOT OF OTHER PREACHERS FOR A WEEK . MY DAD WORKED AT THE SAWMILL.WE LEFT THE MOUNTAINS WHEN HE COUNT!NT MAKE A LIVING IN 1949/ BY THEN THERE WAS 7 CHILDREN , MT.VIEW WILL ALWAYS SEEM LIKE HOME TO ME. THEY HAD 5 MORE BOYS BEFORE PASSING AWAY IN IN1958/ I!M THE ONLY GIRL/ MY DAD WAS ORVILLE ANDERSON MY MAMA WAS MARY SMITH BEFORE SHE MARRIED DADDY.WE ARE KIN TO THE WOODYS TREATS SMITHS AND A LOT MORE UP THERE.
Quiet remote location for a peaceful stay
5/5 Property is a nice distance from National Forest, floating, the cave tour and hiking experiences. Extremely clean, and very kind and friendly owner The outdoor stone picnic table and screened in porch were our favorite part of the property!

Just ok
3/5 To start off the place is way out of town. GPS got us lost first time around. Then we finally found the house. It’s around some sort of rock company where there is traffic at all times not to mention it’s about a mile down gravel. The house to the left when you turn in the drive looks very sketchy and very very run down. The house is out dated and there is junk all around it. I’m partly to blame because I waited til the last minute to book and that was all that available. My code to get in worked the first time then never worked again. Thank goodness there was a hidden key and I was able to get ahold of property manager. The price was cheap but you know what they say. You get what you pay for. I would not stay in this property again and would not recommend it. I hate to be this way but honest is the best policy and next year I will book earlier to find a much better place.

Hi Nikki, thanks for your honest feedback. Just to clarify, guests stay in our updated farmhouse—not the smaller house near the end of the driveway, which is now used as an office for a family business. We know it could use a little tidying up and are planning to address that. Our place is definitely in a quiet, rural spot, which isn’t for everyone, but we do our best to offer a clean and comfortable stay in a home that holds a lot of meaning for us.

4/5 There wasnt a pretty view of anything and the water pressure on the water was not good at all.
