  Five star rating for this wonderfully furnished and equipped rental. Best equipped kitchen we've ever experienced. All we had to bring was food. Our group of five siblings and four spouses had plenty of room to gather or retreat to a bedroom, the den (designated quiet room) or the outside decks for some privacy. The 16 seat dining room table was the center of our activities: sharing a meal, playing scrabble, working on a jigsaw puzzle or completing a poster sized crossword puzzle. If our kids or grandkids have been with us, the boat, kayaks and the fishing poles would have been put to use of the beautiful private lake. The highlight of our stay was watching the total eclipse of the sun on April 8, 2024 from the outside decks! Highly recommend and planning a return stay with the other side of the family!

• Amazing Weekend

  The property was great!! Lots of room. Lots of space on the decks and we enjoyed a night around the fire pit. Love it! We will be back!

• Challenges

  Arrived after dark and there is no clear way to show drive way. It was all leaf covered and no clear path was seen. I immediately called for help the person instructed to call for help but NEVER received a response. No lights to show the way around to the front of the house at night and difficult to negotiate because it slopes downward. Leaving the house was only by backing up through and unknown path.

  Several days before I called and emailed requesting information and received to reply. I have still received no reply. It seems to me if you are hosting a house where people are paying good money to rent, you would be available on the day they are to arrive to assist with any unforseen problems.

  Unloading was a challenge to carry everything into the house. If access could have been made available through the garage, that problem would have been sold. As it was, loading and unloading was a horrible experience for me. It was not made clear in description or pictures that you would be arriving at the back of the house and would have to walk to the front of the house (even though stone steps were provided, they were not helpful. Since I was unable to get a response from anyone when I needed it...I will not be returning, nor recommending this rental property to anyone.
