  • Not What Expected


    The condo was nice and the view was great. Unfortunately the beds were very uncomfortable, the icemaker dispenser didn't work, the jets in the jacuzzi tub didn't work, the garbage disposal didn't work and the oven door was in somewhat bad shape and the furniture was somewhat outdated. When we called the site mgr, he asked if he needed to have someone look at the garbage disposal before we moved out. Our reply was that we were on vacation and didn't want to waste a day waiting on maintenance. The on site electric grills would not get hot enough to cook on either. Our other issue is that we were charged $150.50 cleaning fee yet were told we had to strip all beds and start a load of laundry before we left and make sure the unit was as we found it when we checked in. That should have been part of the cleaning fee. We were charged $140 for site mgr help yet he didn't fix anything. There was also a charge of $160 for damage insurance yet we would be charged for any damages. I also want to make it aware that according to the contract, it states that we were to notify EVOLVE as well as the site mgr of any issues. I called on Wednesday, June 5th to a 24/7 number which informed me I needed to discuss thru txt messaging. I did and am STILL waiting for a reply. I will definitely use a different company if we EVER visit Dauphin Island again. We feel the $2400 spent for the week was waaaay to high for the service provided.

    Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry your stay did not meet your expectations.

    While we strive to ensure all our guests' comfort, we understand that mattress preferences can be quite subjective. In the past three years, we have received only one complaint regarding the mattresses. We apologize that it did not meet your expectations. I will also seek my family's opinion on the mattresses next week.

    I had a repairman inspect the ice dispenser, and he is currently searching for a replacement part. Note that the ice maker is working; it is the dispenser that sometimes does not. The oven door has been repaired, and the garbage disposal has been fixed after discovering an item inside it. We removed the jetted tub from our listing a year ago due to difficulties in obtaining a replacement part. We apologize if you didn't see this information.

    Guests are asked to complete a few simple tasks, such as removing trash, during checkout. The cleaning fee covers a professional service that sanitizes and prepares the home for each new guest. All taxes and fees are clearly outlined by Evolve before payment confirmation. We have no record of a Site manager fee.

    We cannot control the on-site grills but will inform the property management of your concerns.

    We regret that our property did not meet your expectations and hope your future stays are more enjoyable."

    This was such a perfect stay—an unexpectedly relaxing and fantastic break from a hectic life. We never knew that a balcony could bring such peace and tranquility, and the view from the bed before you even leave it in the morning sunrise is breathtaking. We pray we can be fortunate enough to rent this condo again in the future.

  • updating needed


    carpet is dirty so keep your shoes on and furniture needs replacing stained and wore out . Beach chairs are junk and last year we stayed in same unit and told them refrigator ice maker didnt dispense ice still broken . You would think they would check lights 4 bulbs in different rooms out .The grounds are good just the unit needs a major update.

    Dan, The homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following:
    - We were at the property and looked into your claims, we saw no issues with the carpet. It was steam cleaned on 1/6/23 and is given a good cleaning after each rental.
    - The furniture is the same as what is shown in the photos on the listing. We saw no stains and two of the pieces are leather.  All of the furniture is in good shape and not in need of replacement. 
    - The beach chairs were broken by a renter before you and they had already been thrown out.
    - The ice maker works fine, we have scheduled a repairman to come out and they have confirmed that there is nothing wrong with the dispenser.
    - We checked and all of the light bulbs were working and we have replacements in the utility room.
    We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!  We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we are known for."

    This condo was a dream come true. All the amenities and a beautiful place and gorgeous view!!!

    We definitely enjoyed our stay.

  • Spacious Condo!


    Everything was great with this condo! Tons of space inside and on the balcony; everything was clean and there were even beach items available for use. Inside pool was a plus since the weather was chilly when we went! Would definitely recommend and stay there again!
