  We've stayed at other condos on the island, and this was definitely the nicest and our favorite. The host was great, location and view can't be beat. Also probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on, on vacation.

• Thanksgiving get a way

  The property was by far the best we’ve stayed in. Beautifully decorated & very roomy. Well equipped kitchen. We even had salt, pepper and even non stick cooking spray. Both bathrooms had plenty of name brand shampoo, conditioner & body wash. The master bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. I can say enough. We have found our new regular go to condo for the Alabama Gulf Coast stays. Also Donna is a very nice and responsive host. No problems or complaints at all. 110% happy with everything.

• Unit 712 is becoming our second home

  This was our second time staying in the condo and it won’t be our last. This time we brought our kids and it’s so easy and convenient. Our family travels by plane to get to Dauphin so we literally come with our clothes and a couple of books. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are all included. We found that the area was very dry on our skin so I would recommend bringing lotion as well and face wash as those are not includes. Dollar general is just before the island so we got a few things there we needed. Otherwise the beach toys are included, towels for pool/beach provided, plastic cups if you just want to hang out by pool with drinks, and very comfortable for my kids (5 and 8), my mother in law, and my husband and I. The only downside to using the pullout couch in living room is there aren’t any curtains so hopefully you are an early riser! My son had some trouble reaching the sinks (5 y/o) to wash hands, so if you are driving with a smaller child perhaps plan to bring a step stool. We always find the unit very clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils and even small amounts of spices and coffee filters. We do a large grocery shop near airport and everything is fine by the time we get there. Ship and shore, dollar general, and Greer’s are available with a short drive. Also to note: there is a dresser in master for clothes, but closet is locked for owners. The kids room has a large closet, but also a lot of beach toys stores in there. If you plan to bring a lot of clothing requiring it to be hung up keep that in mind. For longer stays I did not see a mop so we used a broom to keep floor clean. Being there 1 week we were fine with that.

  Donna the host is so accommodating. She will send you all of the codes you need. Unit was previously on a card system, but the whole building switched to codes to make it easier. The unit is on the top floor and right off the elevator. Not loud as the kids pirate room window actually looks into a common lobby area (vs an outdoor walkway). We go off-season, but it’s always very quiet and respectful. Both pools are wonderful, walk to water is lovely (but longer than you think!) and easy walks to shops and food. Donna can give recommendations for rentals and other options! Stop by welcome center for coupons to ferry/fort/aquarium and just good historical information about the island. It’s such a special small town vibe place. We can’t wait to come back!
