  • Missed Potential

    2/5

This house has a lot of potential to be great. The lake itself was a blast, but we all had a hard time when we had to go inside. This really frustrated us knowing that we paid over 400 a night including fees when we could’ve just headed to the beach instead for that price.

    1. Pest control is needed badly at this house. Spiders in all the windows, bed, suitcases. Roaches, bugs were also seen multiple times. Wasp nests all over the rails and roof of deck. Nobody in our group ever actually sat on the deck because we didn’t have wasp spray and forgot when we made our grocery run.

    2. We had to clean the tables and counters and dishes before we used anything. The cleaning crew was not thorough. The bunk beds downstairs had food crumbs all in them when we arrived. There were used contacts stuck to the side of the shower also when we arrived.

    4. If you want to bring a boat and enjoy the lake keep in mind it is 119 +/- steps to the dock and your boat gets beat around by wakes in the narrow channel by the dock.

    5. The drive in is miserable if you have a smaller vehicle. Not sure you can really call that a road inside the gated community.

Contacted host about the bugs/mess hoping they could send someone out, but they just said it is something to work on with the cleaning crew and sometimes bugs happen at the lake. Maybe, but a pest control company would help out a lot. If that sounds like something you want to spend beach prices on go for it. We won’t be back though.

  • Great Lake House

    5/5

The lake house was great and just what we needed. We had 3 different families staying with us for a long weekend of softball. The kids had their own space downstairs with lots to do and the adults had their own space upstairs. I would highly recommend this house just know that there are a lot of steps to the lake, so if you are not in shape it is going to take a while. I would book there again.

  • Great home in a secluded area

    5/5

The stay was lovely. It is in a beautiful area. If you are looking for somewhere to sit outside, watch the beautiful lake, and drink your coffee… this is the place for you. The views are gorgeous. The walk down to the lake is even peaceful and beautiful, which is right down from the house. The floating deck and slide are great for kids. My kids cried when we had to leave. The homeowners also left tips on things to do, the town had a lot to offer, even including crystal caverns. Beautiful!

  • Looking for a quiet, secluded place…this is it!

    5/5

House was beautiful. High quality all the way; mattresses, kitchen appliances, furniture. Nice playroom with toys. Game room was wonderful. Only drawback was access to water; lots of steps. Hard (or impossible) for older people and small children to get down to dock.

  • 60th birthday

    5/5

Overlooking the Coosa River, the property was great for my 60th birthday celebration with my family and friends. The property was clean and ready to check-in upon arrival. If you are wanting a family getaway - this would be an ideal location.
