Once you get the lay of where you are, it is an easy walk into town, but if you’re buying things/carrying etc - take a cab back. Walking on the highway is daunting.Speaking of the highway, you will hear noise at night. If you’re sensitive, like I am, wear earplugs. Engine brakes can happen any time of the day or night, and it isn’t something to get used to. Sirens also happen. This is the charm of staying in Mexico.I personally loved the accommodation, but felt that the kitchen was slightly amiss with utensils. Some rubber spatulas for the non-stick pans would have been great, and cutting knives that don’t bend when slicing bread would also be helpful. When I rent a place that has a kitchen I look forward to such items. That said, we had such an amazing time and were able to adjust everything that Villa Tizoc had to offer. Views of the ocean and seeing Humpback Whales was beyond amazing. Thank you to the owners who offered this amazing space to share with us.

The property was well maintained, the pool was beautiful and the pool area was beautifully maintained. The other guests at the facility were very chill (mostly Canadians). We dont go to Mexico every year but I would definitely consider this for a future trip.

Relaxing and convenient to everything I needed.
This property was grossly misrepresented on many counts and should be corrected so people who are considering staying here can know the TRUE. First off "Currently construction is the area" doesn't quite describe the truth as the entire building RIGHT NEXT DOOR is under construction and extremely noisy from 8 am - 7 pm ! Plus you could not use the master bathroom as the construction workers could see right into the window! Additionally, the notation that the beach is .2 miles away is false unless you are a bird or wish to tackle extremely steep, uneven stairs, the reality is a half a mile via road and quite a hike back uphill - better plan on using taxis everywhere. Don't rent a car for sure as the "driveway" is extremely steep, uneven, slippery and full of construction debris. Also, just getting to the front door was a chore with 1. a lift 2. uneven cobblestones 3. steps down 4. 2 flights of steps up - come with NO luggage and you might be alright. There was no instructions for the TV and never could figure out how to work it, safe didn't work, there was not a single blanket in the place and the sheets did not fit the bed and kept coming off. Doors did not properly shut and kitchen sparely appointed. The area is extremely Noisy til late at night so if quiet is your thing - go elsewhere. Very disappointed for the money spent - instead of a beautiful vacation felt in the middle of a war zone!
I visited this stunning retreat in mid-August and could not have been happier with it. From the moment you step through the doors, you are swept out to sea by 180-degree views of the ocean, hillsides, and the city. Though the property is up a steep driveway, you can avoid this by taking the "funicular," aka cable car, up the hill to the property, which is fun in itself.
It is about an eight-minute walk to the beach and you are right above the center of town. I visited with my girlfriend, but the place was so spacious that we could not stop talking about bringing 2 - 4 more people the next time we come!
10/10 recommend and will be coming back!
