The location of this property is ideal for those seeking a leisurely and truly stress-free vacation! You’ll be just minutes away from all the best attractions in the Gingerland area and within a 15-minute drive to the beaches at Nisbet and Windward.

‘Frye House’ is situated in the popular Golden Rock Estate area, within walking distance to the hotel and well-known restaurant ‘The Rocks,’ where you can enjoy fresh cuisine like the lobster salad sandwich! Stroll the Golden Rock Inn and surrounding area to see vervet monkeys, hummingbird, and the occasional local donkey.

You’ll be just a 10-minute drive from the Hermitage Inn and various historic sites and attractions. In Nevis you can visit landmarks such as the Bath Hotel and Spring House, Botanical Gardens of Nevis, and churches dating as far back as 1643!

Get out and explore the outdoors with a hike in the woods or tropical forests. Guides are available to join you on your excursion and explain the island’s history, flora and fauna, and show you the best routes.

There’s no shortage of ways to explore the island during your stay, with adventure including horseback riding through the hills of Gingerland. Other memorable activities include fishing, sailing, tennis, golf, and so much more!

    We have been to FryeHouse on a few vacations and absolutely love it!! From having coffee while staring out at the ocean to dinner on the porch, it makes it a true getaway. The breeze keeps you cool, the view keeps you relaxed and the pool is a perfect opportunity for an afternoon nap.

    One of our favorite things to do is to go down the hill for a lobster sandwich at Golden Rock.

    We are looking forward to going back again next year!

  • Beautiful but somewhat crunchy

    The house is in a beautiful spot, looking out over a verdant manicured lawn sloping down to the jungle and then ultimately out to the ocean far below. Monkeys visit the property daily. It is up a long single track road that climbs up the mountain above the Golden Rock hotel. The house itself has a big wide wrap-around porch, and open doors that let the breeze through. From the outside it is very handsome, and as you can see from the photo there is a (very) small pool. Inside it is tastefully appointed, but in fairness needs some updating and is I no way fancy. The bedrooms are reasonably nice and beds comfortable and the linens very nice but the bathrooms and the kitchen have old fixtures (ie an old electric stove; no dishwasher; small camp-like showers, etc.). One thing I should note?there is no A/C, which concerned me before we arrived but the breeezes up on the hill kept us very cool at night. There is no interior stairway to the downstairs bedrooms if you have smaller children. We were here as a family with three teenagers and had a great time. So long as you can be happy with something less than high luxury, this is a special spot and you should too.
