Lovely stay. The location is convenient to many spots. The room was comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities for a weekend stay. I highly recommend if you are looking for a unique stay. Kids and train fans will love it!
I appreciated the little touches of circus books and decoration.
It was a little confusing finding the train car as the cars were not labeled. We walked around a bit before figuring it out since no one knew which one was ours even after inquiring at the ice cream shop.
Perhaps if you go during the summer months the property is a little more organized/cleaner. We found that many of the places at Dolittle station have odd hours/not open at all and we were disappointed that the pizza place was never open. We wish that the coffee shop permitted you to sit in the 50s diner area too. The kids car you have to book an appointment to use so we didn't bother as we were busy hiking/searching for elk during the day. The model train car was open to view and cool to see though there was a lot of trash littered throughout.
We would stay again and hopefully there will be more options of things to do and to eat open.
