  • This is a Great Home to Rent!

    We booked an extended stay at Heron Hideaway and could not have been happier with our choice of homes. It is beautifully redone and the pictures are a 100% match. In addition to the three bedrooms there is plenty of extra space and we enjoyed having so many places for storage.

    The kitchen is fully stocked with more than anyone would need and it was nice having the televisions, foosball table and other amenities. The internet speed worked great for our video calls (two of us were working).

    The lakefront location is picturesque with amazing sunset views and birdwatching in the morning.

    The location is excellent, just a short drive to Tavares for restaurants or spending time in downtown Mt. Dora.

    While we didn't have any problems while we were here, the owners checked in on us frequently and were always available for any questions.

    We highly recommend Heron Hideaway and hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

    If fishing and relaxing are on your agenda, this is a perfect home. Mid-century modern furnishings and updated in all the right places. Centrally located in the Harris chain of lakes. Close to Mt Dora with an abundance of boutiques and restaurants. A leisurely boat ride through the canals was most enjoyable. The owner and the manager checked in with is at the right time to make sure we had everything we needed.

    Brought our boat. Boat ramp was close. Home is well equipped and clean. Nice dock. Most everything was new. We have a VRBO place and these folks know how to do it right! Highly recommend! Very nice place.

    We absolutely loved our stay at Heron Hideaway! The place was beautiful, well decorated, pristinely clean, well stocked kitchen and lots of little touches that made our stay comfortable! We loved watching sunsets on the dock, playing foosball, and exploring downtown Mt Dora! We will definitely be back - hosts were wonderful and so accommodating!
