  • We had an enjoyable time spent with family during Christmas season.

Suggestion: it would be nicer if the house has some Christmas lights and a tree.

  • Excellent place in a great small little town with plenty to do.

We just had a minor hiccup in entering the property but the issue was immediately resolved by a very responding management and the owner. Definitely a place where I would like to come back to and stay, if I return to the area. Nearby restaurants have great food as well.

  • No Caretaker Response

We got to the property, the access was easy and the house looked just as pictured with a great view off the back porch. While getting settled we and wanting to relax for the evening we found there was no coffee pot and only 6 pods for the Keurig coffee maker. I texted Tim, the guest contact, that we would either need more Keurig coffee or a coffee maker by the morning. There was no response, so we went out for coffee, I texted again no response (we actually never heard from him the whole time). We decided to make breakfast and found that the chemical that was sprayed into the oven to clean it was not wiped out so the heating of it made a toxic smell that filled the space. We had to open all the doors and windows to get it out. One of the pans, in the cabinet put away, we would have used to cook eggs was caked in burnt on food so we had to make due with substitute pans but found sticking to be a problem with all of them. In the evening we decided to make tea and sit out on the porch to enjoy the cool air and view, but found there are only 3 coffee cups to use- this is in a house that is supposed to be for 8 people! The rooms were clean, the beds nice, the showers beautiful, but there needs to be more attention given to the kitchen and a new guest contact that actually cares about the guests. Due to the lack of common kitchen necessities we were unable to relax and really enjoy the house we had intended to stay the weekend in because we had to leave to get coffee first thing in the morning (two days) and needed to eat out because we just didn't want to spend our vacation scrubbing poor quality pans.
