A great stay for Trail Days.
5/5 I had never been to Trail Days and wanted to experience it in some comfort. (Life on trail is rough enough.)
The cottage was a great place to experience Trail Days. It was clean and roomy enough for me and my two hiking partners. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The living room was comfortable as was my bedroom. Though we didn't use it, there's a TV in the living room. There is only one bathroom but that really wasn't a problem at all.
The cottage is well located; across the street from the Dairy King and about a half-mile from the town park, where the majority of Trail Day activities took place. Visiting a buddy in Tent City was another half-mile - but walking is what you expect to do during Trail Days!
Walking from the cottage to the park takes you past the Damascus Distillery and Brewery, the Damascus Diner, and the ATC Visitor Center plus the rest of downtown Damascus.
I don't know if this will be my only time attending Trail Days. If that's the case, I had a great time at the "House on the bend." If I am able to come back in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

4/5 Nice house and very good location; the only issue - ants on the kitchen counter. The host promptly delivered ant bait; however, there were still lots of ants when I left this morning.

Anniversary weekend
5/5 This home was well appointed, clean and conveniently located to restaurants and bike shops, coffee, and convenient stores. We enjoyed our stay and will strongly consider rebooking for our next Virginia creeper Trail, biking adventure.
