  Eclectic cottage the way they where originally done. Perfect location for never ending views. The full moon casting its glow over the water was perfect.

• Nightmare With Beautiful View

  Drove up to property that had junk on it, along with very uneven grounds.. Trip hazards. Not enough lighting at night outside. And then inside, first thing we encountered was nats. Also ants all over kitchen sink. We love the view.

  Perfect vaca!! Just what we were looking for. Cute little quaint cottage. Peaceful, quiet, beautiful. Fantastic views, beach and susurrounding little townstowns.

• Come for the view, cottage is in dire need of renovation

  We booked this cottage for our 25th wedding anniversary. We were quite surprised at how rundown and neglected it looked. Yes, it was clean and had a kitsch y vibe, but there were broken items strewn around the premises, paint on all the windows, duct taped wooden columns for the pergola, a peeling painted kitchen sink, uneven floor and an uninviting shower.Even the flyswatter was dry rotted. When I sent feedback to the host/ manager she called me and said I was nitpicking. Said she was proud of the condition of the property and it had gotten " raving " reviews. I actually cried the first night there because I was so disappointed. The photos of the property are deceiving. It looks good from a distance, but up close you see the poor quality of workmanship. Some things could be tweaked fairly easily to make it much more appealing.

  Hi Deborah, we always appreciate honest and constructive feedback, but after talking with the homeowner, we'd like to clarify the following points:
  - We appreciate that you found the cottage clean and enjoyed the kitschy vibe.
  - While the cottage was built in the 1950s and retains its rustic charm, we have invested significantly in upgrades, including a new roof, French drains, and backyard landscaping.
  - We acknowledge that some support columns need replacing and are working on it. However, it does not affect the functionality of the property.
  - The kitchen sink's paint peeling is due to mineral-rich soft water, but it remains functional, and we are exploring solutions.
  - The floors have a unique layout, adding to the cottage’s character. The shower is clean and functional, with no prior complaints since the floor was redone last year.
  - We supply multiple fly swatters to ensure guests have what they need during their stay.
  We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
