To access the checkin instructions a text is sent with an access code but there isn’t any service in most of southern Utah. Found the cabin late, make sure you have supplies and food with you because there is absolutely nothing open or available. There were dead bugs in the bathroom sink and on the living room carpet. I went to use the coffee pot and the previous filter and grounds were still there and molded. A penny fell out of the bed as I was going to sleep (not sure how you can strip, wash, and remake a bed with that staying in place). It was clear appliances and cabinets were not wiped down after the last and probably many stays. The view is gorgeous and very peaceful. It was okay, just little things added up.

Hi Kaurista, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We genuinely value your concerns, and we want to assure you that we take them very seriously. The homeowner wanted to respond to your feedback:
-"We wish to convey our deepest apologies for any cleanliness issues you encountered during your stay. Your comfort is of the utmost importance, and we recognize that our standards were not met on this occasion and for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
-Your feedback is a vital component of our ongoing improvement efforts. We value your input immensely, as it guides us toward enhancing our services and ensuring that every guest's experience is exceptional. Rest assured, we are committed to rectifying this matter and will be addressing it directly with our cleaning team to ensure a thorough resolution.
-It's important to note that bugs of some kind, such as small gnats, can occasionally be encountered in certain environments. To mitigate this, we take proactive measures by regularly spraying the cabins for bugs every three months. This practice helps us maintain a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere for our guests.
-In the charming ambiance of our very small town, it's important to note that late-night options are limited. We recommend bringing your food to ensure you're prepared, as availability can vary during those hours.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and patience as we work towards enhancing our service. Please know that we are taking this matter seriously, and your feedback will undoubtedly lead to a more positive experience for all future guests.”
I'm not one to write reviews, but thought I better so as to help out the next people thinking of staying here. So some things to consider. The address is incorrect, but still fairly easy to find in the day light if you know what you are looking for and come into town from the right direction. The only bed, up the LADDER—not up stairs!—is old and you will find yourself sleeping in a “V” with both you and your partner crammed in the middle. If you cannot climb very steep, and tight, stairs stay away! And try going down them in the dark of night—also not fun. Not easy access to the bed and I climb ladders all the time for my work. This was a bit sketchy! Supposedly the couch doubles as another bed but just know that only 2/3 of that so called bed can be assembled as the back rest will not lay down—looks like it is supposed to—due to being broken and/or extremely difficult to figure it out. There were no instructions. (I'm a handy man of sorts and spent 20 mins and could not figure it out). And it only has thin padding under the leather; no mattress so the sleep wasn't much better than sleeping on a floor rug. There is ZERO cell phone or data coverage in this part of Utah and no way to contact the host. BUT, I figured it out by crossing the highway and going door to door until I found the owner of this property. Very nice lady, but still there should have been a note or something of how to contact someone. (FYI—first house on the left directly across the street…of course I started on the right side so that was the last house to check and it was her). There is no A/C and the house gets hot during the day. Open windows and doors at night with the loud fan running, next to the bed up top, and you can cool the place down. Gas fire place is activated by thermostat only so not able to really enjoy fire unless it's really cold inside (just a note not a complaint). Kitchen and bath were adequate (toilet seat broken). No WiFi. I think pics were taken with a wide angle lens so it would fit everything in the picture because it is so small and cramped you couldn't take the pics otherwise. Mostly important for the sleeping area and ladder. Minus the awful mattress, the “missing” mattress, and the steep ladder, it's not a bad place or host. Just thought you should read an honest, and complete representation of what you're getting yourself into with this property. The beds are an easy fix but the ladder is not.

Was the perfect get-away to slow things down. The host and townspeople were very welcoming. Great location to access hiking, white water rafting, fishing, or just relaxing. Ideal space for one or two people. 4 would have been a crowd. If you can't figure out the percolator, the short drive to the mercantile for coffee (and slice of pie) is a good way to start the day.

I enjoyed my 5 day retreat at this property. I was looking forward to escaping humanity for a bit and seeking solitude, peace and quiet... and I found it!It wasn't as remote as I thought it would be (there are other cabins nearby and it's across the highway from a small community), but I didn't see or hear anybody around, and no one bothered me. In hindsight, it was nice to know there was SOME civilization around in case of an emergency.Communication with Marcia was awesome, and finding the property was easy. The only minor thing I experienced was not knowing what settings I had the stove or oven on (there was no labeling). It was a gamble turning the knobs and not knowing how low or high things were set at, but after setting off the smoke alarm multiple times, I was able to figure it out and made it work for the duration of my stay. I would definitely return!

Excellent location! We loved everything about our trip to this cozy little cabin tucked away in the sleepy town of Antimony. We selected this property because we wanted to spend our Christmas in a remote location away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. We arrived Christmas Eve and stayed for 6 nights. It snowed during our stay and the cabin was cozy and warm. We saw plenty of mule deer throughout our visit including a herd of at least 30 on one occasion! The built in space heater in the bathroom was a HUGE bonus! We hadn't planned on venturing out much but with the recommendation from Marcia, we drove out to Bryce Canyon, stopping for breakfast along the way. What a memorable experience that we'd highly recommend. We had such an amazing experience that we plan on returning in the future.
