New Bern is better than Savannah.
5/5 We went to New Bern for our anniversary and didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as we did. We’ve been to Savannah more times than I can remember and New Bern is way better. Lots of historical things to see. The property we stayed at was really clean and close to everything. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, entry and exit a little complicated!
4/5 The accommodations were as described. House is old, cute, and in a great location to walk to Tryon Palace and the restaurants and breweries on that end of town. Getting into the house and apartment is a little complicated... There is a lockbock on the front door that is kind of finicky, and once you retrieve your key from the lockbox, there are 2 additional locks you have to unlock/lock to get into/out of the living space. Also, and this may not be an issue for most people, but I found the internet access to be very slow. This is a common complaint in older homes with plaster walls, and for most people would probably be fine. I mention it because I had planned to work remotely from there and I found the internet connection to simply be too slow to be workable.

5/5 My wife, daughter( 8 months) and I had the opportunity to stay at this VRBO. While an older home, it was well kept and had everything we needed. It’s only a few blocks from downtown and we could easily get everywhere on foot, you can literally throw a baseball and hit Tryon Palace. I highly recommend this property.

Clean, Comfortable and Convenient
5/5 New Bern is a sweet historical town and this property perfectly matches it! We loved being within blocks of the whole town. The owners were VERY responsive to our questions and needs and hand delivered a new Kuerig to replace the broken coffee maker (with a sweet card and surprise). The bedding and towels were soft, not at all like a hotel. Kitchen was well appointed and the same with the bathroom. Once we got used to the raised thresholds we fell in love with Unit B. The owners provided a list of local restaurants and we were delighted that each one was excellent! Everything about our stay was extraordinary. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend and we will return in the future.
