  This was our second time staying at Crissy’s house. It’s perfect for us! So peaceful and serene. We love this property and will be back again hopefully in the summer.

  This house was perfect! I'm so glad we went with this property after looking at so many others online. The location was perfect as well! We love the Golden area. Planning on moving there within the next year or two and have decided on the Golden area.

  We saw a large brown bear in the woods behind the house/deck about 40 yards back. Then a few days later my son and his girlfriend saw a brown bear cub in the driveway. Crissy (owner) sent us the video of the bear cub from her Ring camera. So COOL!! We saw many chipmunks, birds, woodpeckers. Maybe next time we'll see a moose.

  Thank you Crissy for allowing us to have a late check out so we could enjoy even more time on the deck with the serenity before we flew back home that evening and back to reality! Crissy was a great host!

  Our stay was amazing, no mice like some reviews, contacted me to let me know we could check in early that day(which worked out great for us),driveway is steep we had a 15 passenger van and did just fine in august however with th curve of the drive 4 wheel would be needed in winter months, plenty of natural light and a stream running by the house 10/10 would stay again

  Prior reviews mentioned mice - assumed the problem had been dealt with by now - it has not - it’s a real problem that needs to be resolved. Cabin is very dated and dark - there are better options nearby.

  - We strive to provide our guests with a great guest experience, so we were disappointed to hear your feedback and want to take a moment to address your concerns.
  - Due to the location of our home being nestled in the woods certain critters are prevalent in the area. However, we have since scheduled for a professional pest control company to come to the property to mice-proof all possible entry points. This is a continuous process we have to have conducted periodically, but we're truly sorry this happened during your stay.
  - Additionally, we use local, professional photographers to make sure that the listing photos correctly reflect the property, so we're disappointed that it didn't meet your expectations.
  We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
