• Nice but lacking alot

  Upon check-in I was impressed with the overall look of the house. It was clean and seemed to be well thought out. It is in a quiet, if a little suspect, neighborhood. It is very close and convenient to lots to do in town. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. There are pots and pans but no cooking utensils. There are plates and bowls but they had never been used, still had the stickers and had never been washed. There is a dishwasher but it had not been plumbed. So after 30 minutes of the worst noise, the dishes hadn’t even gotten wet. The fridge was not plugged in, which makes sense during the times between stays, but I booked my stay 3 days prior and it had not been plugged in during the time between booking and checking in. There are 3 bedrooms with large and mostly comfortable beds but no blankets. The check out instructions ask that you “tidy up the place” but there were no paper towels or cleaning spray, which I purchased to clean up. With a little more attention to detail, this would be a great place to spend a few days but as it was for my stay, I would have preferred staying in a hotel. I hope this review is helpful to the owner/operator so that future guests do not have to deal with the small but ultimately frustrating nuisances I had to. For the price, I would have thought the home would have been much more ready for visitors to check in, enjoy their time, and check out feeling relaxed having enjoyed the peace, quiet and ease of a home rather than a hotel. As it is, there needs to be more thought put into what guests will expect when choosing a Vacation Rental as opposed to other accommodations.

• Beautiful house but…

  The house has been beautifully renovated recently, so recently the price tags/ plastic is still on most every thing. The location is in a quiet neighborhood. However, there is an abandoned home across the street and a white Van was parked in the grass on the property during our stay.

  During our visit we had a few inconveniences. There is no WiFi despite it being listed on the add. I reached out to the number given for the property, it was not in service. I emailed the first night of our stay and did not receive a reply. The second morning when leaving the deadbolt broke. We had to call Evole to explain that we haven’t been able to connect with the property owner. The owner did stop by after they used the owner portal. She was going to have someone come out to fix it later. We figured it would be the next day as it broke Christmas morning. It was still broken when we checked out on NYE. The washing machine does not spin, it is new so thinking it just needs the cardboard removed from underneath but did not want to try to fix without property owner giving permission.

  Overall it was a beautiful house, they just need to get the property completely ready before the next guest checks in.

  Cons of the stay:

  Broken pieces of wood across drive way

  No Modem/Wifi

  Food in cabinets

  Dirty ice maker tray on the counter

  Trash in the trash cans and cabinets

  Missing fridge door handle

  Unable to lock deadbolt on front door (used back door)

  Milkman hat/ package of dry milk in living room
