• Great stay - lots of little things

  Stayed for 3 nights in April - 8 of us fit great. Host has thought of lots of little things - games, beach chairs and towels, kitchen is nicely stocked. House was clean and organized. Great communication from host. The only thing I would say might need a little help is the upstairs shower-head and a couple of the beds weren’t the most comfy.

• Wonderful location with great details!

  The host really took the time to include small details into the space and it pays off! They have so many extra blankets for you and it was so clean, the linens even smelled like laundry detergent. The top two bedrooms do not have great air circulation and it got way to warm for us to stay up there but overall it was a wonderful property and we had a great time!

• Good location, house ok

  The house is in a good location, close to downtown Port Clinton and the beach. Check in was easy and communication was good. We had several problems with the sewer system in the house and backing up water in the downstairs bathroom that made it unusable. My husband had to plunge the tub and fishing line and stickers came up, it was not from us as we just arrived and didn't fish. It was quite unpleasant. Also some work was scheduled for the roof and we were not told so two men just showed up with latter's. Which was fine but would have been nice to have notice. More towels would have been helpful. For the price I would expect better. Also good to know most places close by 8:00 which leaves not too much to do for families.

  Hi Julie, thank you for taking the time to share your valuable feedback regarding your recent stay. Your input is genuinely appreciated, and we have conveyed your comments to the homeowner. They have provided us with additional information they would like to share with you:
  -"Firstly, regarding the roof work, it's important to note that the guests were informed in advance about the necessary repairs that were scheduled to take place. Unfortunately, an unexpected leak around the chimney was discovered on the very day of your arrival. Given the number of storms this summer, the situation demanded immediate attention to prevent any further damage. This was certainly not a situation that could be delayed and was entirely unforeseen.
  -Another matter that came up, which was outside of our control, was the plumbing issue that emerged on their last day of stay. We appreciate your proactiveness in notifying us about it and your initiative in attempting to clear the blockage using a plunger. Subsequently, it was determined that the clog was due to inappropriate disposal of food items down the sink. We want to clarify that no such issue was reported beforehand, which made it difficult for us to address it proactively. We do apologize if this inconvenience affected your overall experience.
  -However, the guest didn't raise a major concern about the plumbing matter with the property manager. Upon their arrival, they discovered a tub filled with dirty water. Instead of fully describing the issue, they mentioned having cleared it themselves. It's possible that a plumber could have been dispatched earlier had the situation been communicated more openly.
  -Regarding the accommodations, we assure the guests that the house is indeed equipped to comfortably accommodate nine guests, which is reflected in the provision of bath towels, beach towels, and kitchen towels for the same number of occupants. This is standard practice for any house rental, and we regret any misunderstanding or inconvenience this may have caused.
  Once again, we deeply apologize that certain aspects of your stay did not align with your expectations. We hope that these explanations provide some clarity, please know that it is our sincere desire to provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all our guests."

• Perfect place for our family gathering

  We were happy to find this property as listed. It was clean and comfortable and a great place for our three small family units to gather, play and eat together. Location to groceries, restaurants (recommend Ala Carte for breakfast), Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay was great. Communication with Evolve team was timely and friendly. Would suggest more towels (kitchen and bath) and dishes for sleeps 9. We reccommend this property.
