• Disorganized entry process for guests

  Strangers entered our apartment not once but twice during our stay. This was due to the fact that they were having problems with their key and the management advised them to enter our space to get access to the hallway which would allow them to enter their apartment. The first time this happened, we were all sleeping. The second time it happened, my minor son was alone in the apartment. Although the strangers meant no harm, at the time it was scary. This could have been avoided with more professional and streamlined processes. This event partly ruined our trip as we lost a night of sleep over it. Additionally, there were some less serious problems with the apartment’s supply. No soap. shampoo, or coffee filters. For over $500 a night, I would expect what comes standard in a hotel room. They had a chess board that was missing half its pieces and a popcorn display with no popcorn. Apart from all this, the apartment was basically clean and nice. Our Lyft driver told us the neighborhood was terrible and not to stay there anymore, pointing out drug houses. We didn’t see anything concerning in the neighborhood, however and there were some nice restaurants within walking distance.

  - We sincerely apologize for the concerns raised by the other group accessing their unit through the same entryway as yours. We permitted them to do so before your check-in, as the unit was vacant at the time, and we explicitly instructed them not to enter once you arrived. Upon your check-in, we observed the activity on our exterior cameras and immediately addressed the situation.
  - Please rest assured that the safety and security of our guests are paramount to us. We actively monitor the premises, which is why we reached out to you promptly to rectify the issue. This is the first time this has happened, and we're taking necessary steps to ensure it never occurs again. 
  - We've installed exterior-facing motion sensor cameras and have law enforcement neighbors available for emergencies. Additionally, there's a Police Precinct and City Hall nearby. Our location offers easy access to the Star-Ledger headquarters, prestigious schools and institutions, and a bustling shopping area, along with fine dining options. In our seven years of ownership, we've had no issues, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our guests.
  - We don't provide body soap and shampoo due to potential guest allergies. We're currently updating the listing to clarify this information.
  - We do provide coffee filters and popcorn. If you had reached out to let us know they were missing, our guest contact could have provided them to you during your stay.
  - We will ensure that the chessboard is replaced with a full set.

  Bright clean modern and very good hosts who make housing away from home stressless affordable and worthy. Very nice couple who have given personal attention to this space.

  Stayed there just last week and it was absolutely great. Close enough to cities and boroughs to be active, yet, while in the units, it was like a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. The amenities are welcoming and well thought out - including a theater and game room, on site laundry facility and really comfortable beds. This time it was a shorter stay for work - but it's the kind of set up I could see coming back to with family. Perfect for a single or multiple family trip! Thanks you guys for all you did to work out our stay on such short notice. Can't wait to come back.
