  The house is in a great, quiet location. The hot tub was awesome, and the majority of the house had modern updates. The backyard is amazing and the main reason we booked the property. But, the big problem is that the furnace only heats the bedrooms. So the main areas-kitchen, dining, living room have no heat. When we were there, it got down to the low 30's at night, and we needed heat. The property manager and owner said to leave the bedroom doors open and there are also 2 space heaters to heat the main areas. The space heaters were way to small to make a difference and the main areas were quite cold. None of the living room lights worked nor the living room fan, the pool was filthy, master bedroom faucet was loose, no cable, so no live TV, no garage door transmitters and the shower water pressure was not good. Due to having no heat in the main areas, we would not stay there again. We could look past all of the other issues, but with the main areas too cold to be in, we will look at other properties for our next visit.

• Loved the house location but disappointed in quite a few things

  First off, this is not my first stay in a rental home. I have experienced many homes throughout the US & Mexico.

  The communication day of was great. I got the address & code to enter the home. I was also given phone numbers for the administrator & manager.

  Upon arrival at the house about 8:30pm. We had issues getting through the front gate. Then the door keypad didn’t work. I text the admin & she buzzed us in. There were no keys available for us. The house is pretty BUT lacks supplies. No paper towels (2 small kitchen towels but they looked soiled), no extra blankets or bedding, no soap except in master bath, and just a few extra toilet paper rolls. No dish soap and only enough laundry soap for one load which we had to use to wash towels since there aren’t any back up ones. No extra trash bags even though you have to take the trash out. We had to go out & buy supplies. When we returned (about 10pm) we again are locked out. I called the manager & he had to guide me to the hide a key. The key opened the back gate & he hoped one of the back doors. Mind you it is very dark with no exterior back lights on. He was apologetic & made sure we did get in safely. He came out the next morning to fix the keypad.

  Now, the pool & hot tub were unusable. The pool was so cloudy & the water was slimy. The hot tub never got hot enough. I’m super disappointed in this. We were there 5 days and the pool never cleared up. Outdoor tv didn’t work either. The lounge chairs are so worn that one was ripped & not useable.

  I have to say that the manager was very good at communication & was great trying to fix things. The admin quit communicating after the first night. I would not recommend staying here unless you just need a comfy bed-that’s about all the good I can say about this rental. I am so unhappy that I spent my money on this!

• Perfect place for us

  This place was a perfect place to have a group of our friends come from all over. The accommodations were perfect. It took a little time for water to heat up and a silly shower head that was too large for the pressure but other than that it was exactly what we were looking for and close to our conference.

  Overall, happy with the stay, the location could not have been anymore perfect. We were worried we were too far from olds town but it was only 15ish minutes away and there was still great restaurants, bars and shopping and groceries etc near the house and an absolute beautiful surrounding quiet neighborhood.

  The pool is NOT heated which was a big let down. May want to book this house in the summer months but was still nice to have drinks by the pool and layout with some music playing, the house also comes with a grill but you may have to run out and buy propane as we did. Tip: Electric starter does not work, you have to light it manually. The outdoor TV and sitting area was so nice at night to relax to as well with extremely comfy outdoor couch.

  The house said it could sleep 10 but that was quite a stretch. The house can sleep 6 comfortably in my opinion. The house unexpectedly had 3 blow up mattresses, 1 did not work and the other 2 blew up just fine but we expected the beds to fit everyone. We also could not find the sleeper sofa that was mentioned in the listing so thank god for the air mattresses. There also was not enough linens. Only the 4 beds had linens so the air mattresses did not have linens for the 4 remaining guests. These are easy things the host can work out though and you may wan to mention before your stay if you have a large party. There was plenty of closet space so hopefully they will stock the closest with enough bedding and towels in the future.

  I also would like to mention the beds were Novaform mattresses and they were very comfortable, would take it over hotel bed any day and we were able to get a great nights sleep as if we were at home. Major points for the host choosing comfortable beds. Wow.

  Note there are 2 bathrooms, 1 for masters, bathroom door did not lock so be-careful(door jams mis aligned), and the other bathroom is a jack and jill. In order to get to the bathrooms guests need to go through bedrooms so again be careful as the bedrooms became high traffic areas. Not a huge deal but something of an inconvenience I would say.

  Overall, great stay, amazing location, minor improvements needed, I would stay there again, but probably in a warmer month, as we really would have liked to be able to use the pool.
