• Mediocre stay

  The property is not clean. Well water with high content of iron, after washing dishes few times your nails pick up yellow tint from the iron. Outside chairs dirty. Lots of pet hair on carpet s in the bedrooms. We did enjoy spending time outside by the firepit. Luckily adjacent property to this one was not rented out during our stay oherwise it would not be as private and comfortbale stay. Overall I do not recommend this rental.

• Fly infestation

  As we walked in the house was very musty, and I looked up in the ceiling was crawling with flies. We spent the next hours into the night trying to kill flies. Then the next day, even into our leaving, we were still trying to kill flies and we could tell that they hatched from somewhere because they were baby ones and large ones in the mix.I feel like we need to get a refund. It was pretty gross and they were all over the furniture, and it was even hard to sit on the furniture knowing they were everywhere.And what I don’t get is she said a cleaning lady was there right before us and how would they let us come into a place like that? If the cleaning lady saw it what was going on?

• Relaxing weekend

  If you're looking for a 5 star hotel or boutique B&B this won't be your jam. But this was right up our alley. This cute little cabin is your typical Grandma & Grandpa's little cabin up in the woods with old kitchen cabinets, an old electric stove, and old furniture that provided a wonderfully relaxing weekend for us. We loved kayaking on the lake, we caught some fish (catch & release). Our little one had such a blast she now states she wants to live in a cabin forever. When we first got in, we found and read the black binder on the kitchen table which let us know about our stay & a beach to go swimming at. The public beach is very small but uncrowded, pit toilet only, we enjoyed our time there. Wash all dishes before you use the dishes - when we pulled dishes out the previous guests had not properly washed them. There was peanut butter and eggs and other food stuck to some of the silverware. The cabin otherwise was clean. BRING WATER!!!! We luckily read reviews from others' and knew to bring water for drinking for the weekend. We brought dish soap and towels. The deck was nice to sit on to eat, to relax, and to enjoy the nighttime storms! Online pictures are true to what you will find when you arrive. We didn't explore too much in Westfield, we just relaxed & went to the beach. We did stop at the playground which is very large and has a splashpad.

• Rustic, simple, cute.

  Small, simple two-bedroom cabin. Great deck overlooking the lake. Decorated on the inside just like a small lake cabin should be. Very clean. Lots of comfortable seating in the living room. Kitchen and bathroom are a little tired & worn down, could use a refresh soon. Cookware is pretty rough but plenty of servingware. Water tastes *awful* and would strongly recommend packing in your own.

  The property is not accurately represented. We arrived and didn’t stay. The property was filthy and not suitable for my family. The neighborhood was not ‘family-friendly’. I will never be booking an Evolve rental property again. Property manager was not reachable.
