This is a very comfortable, well-apportioned home in a quiet residential neighborhood. Lake access is a major plus, and the Viking range was an unexpected treat. We had a great time.
We enjoyed our stay at this peaceful place. I would go back again for sure!

Was a great place for the four of us to stay. Very short drive to downtown Madison and we really enjoyed the house.

What a great find! We thoroughly enjoyed our girl’s trip at Jake’s lake house. If you take the time to read through the book on the coffee table, you’ll understand that you are sitting in the midst of an incredible house renovation. I won’t spoil the story, but Jake’s vision and the home transformation are remarkable. The house is laid out very well with several different, comfortable seating areas, perfect for chatting, dining, watching a movie, working, or making meals. The layout takes great advantage of the view. You can see the lake from nearly every room (with the exception of the back bedroom and bath), and Jake has decorated in an attractive, mid-century style with a few vintage pieces and some unique art. The kitchen is beautiful and very, VERY well stocked with everything you might need (and then some), including high end appliances like a large Viking stove. And the rain showerheads in both bathrooms are heavenly.Besides being on the lake, the house is in an incredible location…everything you could want is nearby (grocery, coffee shop, restaurants, parks) and it is a very quick, 5-minute drive to the Capitol. The neighborhood is pretty, too—quiet, established and great for running or walking. On top of all those accolades, we appreciated the thoughtful touches like a welcome basket filled with snacks and bottled water and a map of local, neighborhood attractions. We highly recommend renting this house.
