Inaccurate web description and no water
1/5 So I want to begin by saying how excited we were to stay in this section of the house (Acorn). We all drove 3 plus hours and all were hungry and wanted to use the restroom. As soon as we checked in my husband went to the restroom and couldn’t flush the toilet because the water was turned off. Then we looked around to see how we could turn on the AC in the house and to our surprise there wasn’t any? I immediately called Abbie who by the way went above and beyond to be understanding, helpful and apologetic for all the next 4hours hours of back and forth trying to solve the problem. No AC is one thing but no water was not going to work as we had adults of all ages with medical problems and females who can’t go outside to the woods. We couldn’t use the bathroom, wash our hands, or cook. We had to keep opening water bottles to wash our hands and try to make something to eat. Abbie and the owner Tyler called the water company and it turned out to be that the water was never turned on by the owner and the company was closed for the weekend. Abbie was able to refund us minus the taxes and fees from Vrbo. She eventually was able to relocate us. We had to pack our vehicles once again around 9pm drove about 5 minutes to another house who Tyler paid for. Abbie relocated us to a beautiful property and even checked on us to make sure we were ok even after she was done with us. It was an adventure but we made it work and my husband still had a great 38th birthday.
