  • Relaxing family weekend

    5/5

Our family of 2 adults and 2 boys, ages 5 & 7, enjoyed a long weekend stay at this home. House was clean, had everything we needed, and check-in/out were super easy. We especially loved the downstairs game room, perfect for a rainy day, the hot tub, and the quiet! Easy access to Luray Caverns and hiking. Would stay here again!

  • Simply an amazing and enjoyable experience!

    5/5

1st- Teanna is immediately responsive and available to help with anything I needed. There was nothing to fix though!2nd- the place is beautiful inside and out. Stocked really well too. If you’ve stayed in a VRBO before that lacks decent pans, knives, etc. then you know what I’m talking about. Not this place. Top shelf appliances, cutlery, and such.3rd- some VRBOs clear out what previous occupants leave. Like oil, pasta, seasonings, etc.. Not here. Stocked really well too. All in date. So if you stay here, leave something for the next occupant if you can. We did. 4th- beds, linens, and so on were immaculate. The beds were glorious!5th- fishing was good. Not much action but we don’t always fish to catch fish. It’s to enjoy the environment. Their walkway and little shore were very serene. Wi-Fi worked great, we played a video golf tournament and then a ping pong tournament in the basement!Hot tub was very relaxing. We set up an iPad and watched a movie whilst relaxing in the hot tub!Small grocery stores 10 minutes away. All you need. Great stay. Highly recommend.

  • Great Getaway

    5/5

We stayed at the Rileyville River House for the first time in March, and we would definitely go back! It has everything you need for a quiet, serene weekend away. The property manager provided us with thorough details and instructions for accessing the house before our arrival. She even checked in on us Saturday morning when we woke up to 4 inches of snow. She made sure we were warm and happy, and offered to send someone to shovel/plow if we needed it.

The house is immaculate. So clean and fully updated. The kitchen is beautiful and fully stocked with every cooking utensil/tool/pan you'd ever need.

The grounds and wrap around deck are terrific. It's the perfect place to sit and relax, read, or gaze at the mountains. We didn't use the firepit (because it snowed), but we DID use the hot tub. It was heaven! And since it's right outside the first floor door, with an overhang and paved steps, we didn't have to worry about trekking in the snow to get to it - so smart.

We had a terrific weekend and will definitely come back!
