• Great location. Near River City Sportsplex.

  My daughter and two of her friends were in a field hockey tournament at the nearby River City Sportsplex and the house was a perfect location. Very close to the tournament and a 20 minute drive for dinner in downtown Richmond. There was lost of space for everyone to relax between games and all the necessary amenities were there in the kitchen for quick meals. The beds were comfortable and everyone enjoyed our stay.

  The house was big and clean. The host was responsive. The power had gone out on the block and the host was quick to respond to our messages and reach out to the power company. The power was back on by the end of the day.

  The place was as described. It was clean, temperature was comfortable, pool was nice. Some major comfort upgrades need to be made though. This place could sleep about 10-11 people - but the upstairs living room only has a very cheap, very uncomfortable couch for three people plus an old/used beanbag. Why have such little seating / hangout space if there’s room to sleep so many more?We never found the remote for the upstairs TV - even after asking we were told to “look everywhere. Even strange places” Kitchen table was sufficient. Seating for 8. Kitchen cookware was lacking a bit. Small toaster.. only one frying pan/pot. Propane tank for the gas grill was empty so we had to pay to fill it - waiting on reimbursement for that. Bathrooms were nice - showers were nice and had great water pressure. Beds were decent but very low to the ground. Older people / people with bad knees may have trouble getting up out of bed. The pool itself was beautiful but the surrounding area and the path to the pool needed a lot of work. No pavers leading down to the pool and the grass was very rocky. The downstairs common area had the same issue as the living room upstairs. Very cheap uncomfortable couch with not nearly enough seating area. This property could be a great space with some much needed comfort and seating upgrades

  Owner's response: "Thomas, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you.
  - We had the property staged by a professional with outstanding credentials. Most of our guests appreciate having multiple areas for gathering rather than one large area for everyone. All seating arrangements are depicted in the photos on the listing.
  - The dinner table does seat 8 people, we also have 2 bar stools right beside the table.
  - We have never had any complaints about the cookware in the kitchen or the number of items for your use. We have hosted get-togethers for up to 50 people and found we had everything we needed.
  - If you had contacted us to let us know that the propane tank was empty we would have gladly provided a full tank for you. We have reimbursed you for the propane tank you filled. It is our practice for the cleaning crew to check the levels at each cleaning.
  - We did ask that you look for the remote everywhere as we were unaware it was missing. We have ordered a couple of universal remotes in case this happens again. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
  - We have not had any complaints about the beds being too low.
  - The backyard has been hard to handle, we have removed 11 trees from the backyard. It is still shaded and will not grow grass. We will consider pavers down to the pool area.
  
  Our home is very nice and a great place for large groups to stay at a decent price. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. We will continue to strive for those 5-star experiences we know we can deliver."
