The home and location are very nice and as described. The reason I am ranking only 3-stars is because the house was very hot when we arrived. We turned the AC to 71 degrees, yet the WYZE thermostat kept remotely changing to 79 degrees. It was about 95 degrees outside, so we couldn’t find any relief from the heat. I contacted the owner a couple of times about the temp changing and was told “Sorry! We’re out of town”. Ultimately, the thermostat shut off completely. We tried to turn it back on with no luck. Owners finally sent an hvac tech. He had to change out the thermostat and advised that the owners keep remotely turning the AC up when guests are there causing it to break. He replaced it with a manual (not wifi) thermostat. Due to the excessive heat outside and having no AC for most of the day, it was nearly 90 degrees in the home. It took about 7 hours to cool down to 75 degrees.
PS. I did check to see if there was a schedule on the thermostat causing it to keep changing. There wasn’t. I am giving the owners the benefit of the doubt and assuming it was simply defective.

"Hi Jennifer, I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience you experienced with the A/C during your stay. I understand how uncomfortable it must have been, especially with the heat outside, and I sincerely apologize for the delay in getting it fixed. While we did send an HVAC technician as quickly as possible and replaced the thermostat to prevent further issues, I regret that you had to endure such high temperatures in the home. I appreciate your patience and understanding, and I’m very sorry that this affected your stay."
We enjoyed our stay at Holly’s place. It was incredibly clean and we used the fire pit for s’mores the last night.

Really enjoyed staying at Holly’s river cottage. Very attractive, very clean and a nice fire pit for s’mores.
We very much enjoyed this stay. Everything was as expected and more. Very quiet and enjoyed our mornings and evening on the deck watching the Blue Heron fishing in the creek, with a visit from a turtle. We would definitely recommend this home when visiting Deltaville.

My husband and I were in Deltaville to look at a boat we are considering purchasing. We are so happy we ended up renting this cottage. It was incredibly clean and very quiet. The location is great! It is on a peaceful street on a canal where we heard and saw all kinds of birds as well as a Blue Heron fishing everyday. Very relaxing. There is a dog next door who was a little intimidating at first - ran out barking at us - be on the lookout. He is friendly and will really warm up to you if you throw his ball or stick for him. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook meals if you choose. Be advised though, there is not a dishwasher so be prepared to hand wash dishes. We hadn’t paid attention when we booked and it wasn’t a problem for us, but it could be an unpleasant surprise if you expect one. We stayed in the larger bedroom with a queen bed which was very comfortable. We were there for several days so used the washer and dryer which worked great. We called Holly once regarding an issue with the TV remote which was actually operator error on our part. She was quick to respond and very friendly and helpful. If we come back to Deltaville would definitely rent the cottage again.
