  • Cozy stay for a couple nights

    4/5

This condo was good for 2 nights to get in some skiing. It's a bit small to do much hanging out in with our family of three. The kitchen although small was beautifully updated and had what we needed. The bunk is a cool feature but our child was nervous to sleep in top due to the stairs to reach top facing the opening down from the loft. The tub could have been cleaned a bit better and one of the dishes in kitchen cupboard had been put away with food on it. Since guests are required to do dishes it was likely the prior guest but it still was unnerving to see. All said would stay again for a short break.

  • Just what we needed

    5/5

We've got 4 small kids and needed a couple nights up at Brian Head for our first ski days of the season. This little place had everything we needed and was right across the street from Giant Steps. We used the wood burning fireplace, which heated the upstairs really well. Although its on the second floor, we were able to park right at the bottom of the stairs and its only the second room over. It was a great place to stay!

  • Nice place, great location!

    5/5

Downstairs primary was super quiet. Bunks a little small for teenagers over 6’2”, shoulda used the pullout downstairs, our fault. Love the location and perfect size for the 3 of us! The property manager Caitlin was super responsive and very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay!

  • Is what it is...

    3/5

    Pros:

Located across the street from Giant Steps. Nice view and close to ice skating and general store.

It was clean and held a nice comfortable temperature.

Stocked with lots of good kitchen supplies. All seemed fairly new and even had a nice coffee maker with instant coffee, filters, and creamer. Thank you for that!

TV in the living room with Netflix was good. Unfortunately, it's mounted very high but not sure there was another place for it.

    Cons:

The biggest problem was the bunk bed upstairs. It must have had a broken spring or two because when you moved, the whole bed made a horrible noise. The mattress itself was also uncomfortable (not sure if it was due to the springs).

These things are more of a nuisance but worth sharing:

There really isn't any room in the condo for any ski equipment so you need to keep your gear in your car.

If you have kids in Ski School, you have to go to Navajo so it's a drive, and being "across" the street isn't helpful.

Yes, you could technically "walk" to the slopes but it's a long walk and if you are in ski boots or you have kids, you will want to drive.

The stairs to the loft are very steep and slippery. Make sure your kids aren't wearing socks or they will slip and fall.

The place is tiny and probably great for 4 but 6 is pushing it. We had 2 adults and 4 kids (age 9-11) and it was maxed out. The couch is big enough for 2 grown adults to sit on but not long enough to sleep.

If you get in late, it's tough to find. There are several buildings that look the same. I recommend the owner provide you with a google map so you know what building your unit is in.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Murphy, we're glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall. The homeowner would like to share the following: " We appreciate the constructive feedback! To respond to a few of the cons you mentioned: 1) It's important to review the original listing which clearly shows the living room sofa doubles as a pull-out bed. Opening the bed is simple, just take off the cushions, remove the slipcover and pull out the bed which comfortably sleeps 1 or 2. 2) The drive to the Navajo slopes is approximately 3 minutes. The walk to Giant Steps across the street is about 5-10 minutes. There's also a free shuttle that picks up at the Chalet Village entrance and drops off at various points of interest throughout the town. 3) We'll take a look at the upstairs bunk beds (springs aren't the issue - neither mattress has springs). And we'll assess the staircase for possible hazards. 4) Future guests will receive a map and a photo of the exact location. Again, thank you! We appreciate the time you took to provide us with valuable feedback."
