  • Family Connections and Memphis Memories

We had not seen family from the Memphis area in over three years and we wanted a great place to spend time together that was midway between the two families. Also, we were wanting a dog friendly place and back yard since we travel with our two mini Aussies. This home was in an older established and well cared for neighborhood in East Memphis. Close to shopping for groceries--Walmart to Aldi. It was easy to get to other parts of Memphis from here, also. The layout of the home was perfect for family gathering times! As you enter the front door it opens to a large dining table with enough seating for 6 to ten people. Then, the kitchen area is a modern update with all you need to enjoy cooking and eating a meal together. Lots of counter space and great appliances. Hidden behind the pantry doors are the laundry appliances. The bedrooms were well appointed and clean. Beds were comfortable. The one shared bathroom in the hall is small but very useable for bath and showers etc. The big surprise for showering was in the master bedroom. We enjoyed the wide-open spaces of the master bath shower. We are from Texas and like lots of space. All of us enjoyed the spaces just listed and also the living area with the large sofa sectional and access to media. The one disappointment we had in using this fine property was that the fence was not truly secure for dogs since there were large gaps under the wooden fence line. Being able to allow the dogs to be off leash helps them not get depressed when we travel. We can throw frisbee and let them run and play when we are staying somewhere if the fence is really secure enough to trust. The plus of the location is being right on the Greenline which is a walking/hiking trail and you can go right out the back fence gate to access that trail! We were able to enjoy family times with a Mississippi pot roast dinner and a game of chicken foot dominoes one of our evenings. We had a quick drive over to the river boat cruise of the river front of Memphis (a bit of construction going on over there) and enjoyed that time together. We also enjoyed a dinner from Central Barbeque that we brought home to eat around the large dining table. All in all, the home was a great place for our family visit, and we appreciate the flexibility and open communications by the home's management group. We thought it would even make a great gathering spot for the holidays!

Too hot to walk but still had a great stay! The house was nice and spacious! We played games, ordered pizza, went to the Pink Palace. Nice time!

  • Great location to explore Memphis

This was a very nice rental, located in an area where we were around 20 minutes from everything we wanted to do. We would definitely choose this house again if we stayed in Memphis.

  • Nice updated house

The house has been nicely updated for an old neighborhood. Big open spaces, great kitchen and master bath shower. Backyard is adjacent to a busy highway, so it is not a quiet and relaxing area; otherwise neighbors are quiet.
