Amazing home! Everything was so fresh and bright. They truly thought of everything! We cannot wait to stay again. It is just like home only with perfect beach access. ;)

Place is beautiful, you can tell it is all new. But, neighbors are not friendly. Taking pictures, spying, videos, so much judgement during bike week it was past uncomfortable. Don’t think you can let people gather downstairs in the morning to walk across to the public beach access to get married. I agree, a few bikes to be moved, no problem. But the yelling from neighbors, owner phone call yelling of calling the cops to kick us out. Let’s be clear, no music, no drinking, in the morning, for a beach wedding at noon, 11:30am-12:30 for folks to meet and the bride ran late. No more than 4 people were in the house at a time, friends waited downstairs for the bride to be ready for her brother to escort her down the isle in a wheelchair. Then cops were called by neighbor during beach ceremony, nothing happened because we had done NOTHING wrong. The place was left perfect, I have photos that prove it. The insane judgement, yelling entirely one sided and condescending rudeness from guest contact, threat to kicking us out, nasty neighbor, police being called and interrupted our prayer, I’m still disappointed, in disbelief that something would have been such an issue. We had not/were still not loud, disruptive, only my boyfriend and I were there most (5of 7 days) of the week. Staying here the security cameras are one thing (great!), nosey neighbors spying, taking pictures, reporting, and creeping through windows is another level of discomfort, inappropriate, smothering, and exhaustive. Keep in mind, being on vacation you don’t have a place to go for the last 1.5 days so with that control over you, as a guest, it’s overwhelming. In 19 bike week rentals, this is the first problem.
Hi Amanda, thanks for letting us know about your stay. After going over your feedback, we wanted to address the items that you mentioned:
- We want all of our guests to find the perfect vacation rental for their needs, so we make sure that travelers know before they book that large events and gatherings are not permitted at this property.
- The listing description also states that there are four parking spots available at the property. When the neighbors informed the owners that there were multiple vehicles parked illegally down the street, blocking driveways, and parked at the house across the streets parking area without permission, the owners reached out to kindly ask if they move the vehicles. The police arrived only to ensure that no vehicles were parked illegally on the street.
- The owners did not have any concerns regarding bike week, only that the home was being used as a party venue without their permission. The owners wish you would have been upfront about the wedding and asked permission to use the home as a gathering place. They might have been able to be accommodating and give the neighbors a courtesy heads up.
The owners do all they can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many happy travelers!
Great place to stay if I wanted the responsibility of owning a place at the beach this would be perfect
